Looking for an EASY membership site plugin.

I'm looking for an EASY to use membership software for WordPress. Single level, can apply to all posts and a forum. Should not effect the rest of the page. Everything I've found is WAY too hard to use. Any ideas?

Please don't recommend wishlist. It was impossible to use.

Here is a simple to use plugin that will not only give you the functionality of an auto-responder, but will also give you the ability to send out great looking newsletters and it's user friendly. It's called WYSIJW .. You can download it free from Wordpress.org. There is a 5 minute video from the page and when you activate the plugin, there is another video tutorial that is dead simple to understand.

WYSIJA means What you see is just awesome.

Build your list (S) and email your members anytime with terrific newsletters.

Did I say it was FREE with 100% 5 star ratings.

Why are you paying for an Auto-Responder???

Mo, no offense, but this is the same post you put in an actual autoresponder thread.

What does this have to do with setting up a membership site?

Did you just paste the wrong text from a text editor or something?

It was still relevant to the OP. I could have just typed the URL I guess.

It does what a membership site does for someone needing to get started on a budget.

        I have several WL licenses

          Another +1 for Instamember

Used it for one or two small projects before writing our own system for a more complex membership.

I use both Paid Memberships Pro & MemberPress and LOVE them. Both are super easy to use and setup. The biggest difference is that Paid Memberships Pro is Free, while MemberPress starts at $99.

If you want something even simpler (but less powerful) you can use WPMUDEV's Pay Per View Plugin, which is $19 and lets you charge for individual Post and Pages for a set fee, which can be for the day, week or month.

P.S. WYSIJA is now called MailPoet and integrates beautifully with both Paid Memberships Pro & MemberPress. In case it wasn't clear, MailPoet allows you to send Emails like AWeber & Mailchimp but directly from your WP Dashboard.

P.S.S. If you need help setting up your Membership plugin, i'd be glad to help!

Instamember is a great choice, for free I would have to say S2 Member, I found it pretty straight forward and easy to use.
If you are creating a free member site S2 should do you fine, for a paid member site, Instamember is the best choice

I would second the use of S2Member to start off with.

It's free and easy to implement and it allows you to setup access levels for both pages and posts on Wordpress.

Instamember's good. I also use DAP...Digital Access Pass. The learning curve is a little steep, but it's done well for me.

I'd also check out Andrew Hunter's Membersonic. Andrew is a genuinely top guy and makes some excellent products. He had Membersonic created so it does the majority and most useful things of what more complicated membership software does, and then do those really well and simple to set up. I think Andrew also had it designed so that every function/feature was at most 2 clicks away from the dashboard, so things weren't buried deep in menus.

Setting up new membership levels for products is really easy - one click to create each of the standard pages you need for every product level. You can drip feed content over time and all pages/posts you can administer and check a box to protect content all from one admin page. It also integrates with PayPal, ClickBank, JVZoo, Warrior Plus, Zaxaa, and Digiresults.

You can try things out with the free Lite version (it doesn't do everything of the full version but still has multiple membership levels). Free Membership Site Plugin

Use Zaxaa.com and the FREE Zaxaa WordPress member plugin they provide. They make it VERY easy to use and it's free.

I put in another vote for S2member. Although, I don't think it's as easy as the OP wants. Plus kind of overkill if you want really simple. It is a great plugin though, liking it more than Wishlist these days.

S2member is easier than DAP. It's still not super easy where you can just install without using it before and quickly know how to set up a membership. There is a market for fast and simple without adding complexity and a million options.

I had great experiences with Paid Memberships Pro and MemberSonic.

The MemberSonic support is insanely fast and helpful. So if you need help, I would go there first.

Try out Memberful. I just found it and it's super easy to use. You can integrate it with Stripe, and you can accept recurring credit card payments right from your site.

You will need an alternative membership site plugin, however, and for this I recommend S2 member. It's fairly simple to use and you can integrate it with Memberful.
