What makes your day IMers?

Hi,

Been in the IM world is a mix of freedom and the benefit running your business at your own will. But, just a curious question, what makes your day?

For me, aside from SALES (Ofcourse!) It is the JOY of having near to your loved ones. Watching your children play, go to places you want anytime you need, and going home as early as you want. It is the JOY of providing your family's need and at the same time doing things you want in your own time.

    For me its the "independence" I enjoy. I don't have to answer calls from my boss, I don't have to sit through grueling appraisal sessions in front of senior managers and I don't have to feel a pair of eyes watching over me all the time....until I leave the office premises - yeah I used to have a day time job several years back and those were the things that prompted me to take up IM full time.

    What makes my day is when something unexpected happens. For example, I might get a long and passionate email testimonial from someone that found value in one of my products or my coaching, or when I reach a new financial goal out of nowhere.

    I also love it when I begin to create some new content and I just get really engaged in the process, and I end up writing directly from my heart.

    Oh and lastly, I'm very pleased when I complete every task on my to-do-list. I usually put enough tasks on my list so that even if I only complete half of what is on it, I would still consider that a productive day, so when I complete everything on the list, I call that a super productive day.

    The reasons you listed are pretty much what makes every marketers day. My wife and I homeschool 3 children, it's just us 5 and no more : )

    We do what we want, when we want. I can go to the beach tomorrow, bring my laptop with me (if I wanted to), and do an hour of work then play the rest of the day.

    Today, I've taken the whole family to watch a movie in the afternoon, had lunch and walked around the mall. That's freedom and that's what this business can provide anyone ONCE they've got the wheels in motion and put in some work.

      It's very fulfilling when you see that you are providing every need of your family and at the same time doing what you want to do in your own will. IM is not easy though, it requires lots of time, effort and money before you can even reach your goal and maintain it.

    I guess for me, beside the freedom to do things when, how and where I want to do it, is that I get to be next to my dog all the time. Our dog is our (girlfriend and I) life, and we just can't imagine life without her.

    Although I still have an offline business that I attend to daily, I am home for most of the day working on my online business, and having my dog laying under my desk just makes the day for me.

    The best part is that no matter how bad of a day I am having, just looking at her laying there peacefully makes it all alright.

    What i like most is the fact that I get to organize my stuff, that I do not depend on anyone else, that my deadlines are the ones I set for myself and the fact that I can do that in accordance with my own schedule. I work with more determination 9 hours a day for myself than I did 6 horrible hours a day in a lousy job.

    Every morning when i wake up and go get coffee! I see 3-5 sales notifications!
    That makes so happy and sometimes i wonder what if would went to college. Last year i tool the test and paid the first semester.
    Then, i realized that it will take me 4 years to graduate and get pay only $14 per hr. Its not about the money! The thing i can do now!

    1) for me, being a single male with no real attachments to much of anything, is the FREEDOM

    So many people I talk to are tied down to a particular location because of the job that they have. Working online has no such issues

    2) a Close second, would be the ability to get involved in so many different businesses. Anywhere I go, I can get involved with small businesses providing them with a wide variety of services from website creation, website upgrades, online marketing, general internet consulting. Never gets boring!
