Sales funneletter with affiliate links

I was wondering if it were possible to set up a sales funnel strictly with affiliate links. (Ex. Squeeze page> oto> download page> another offer after freebie>etc. Possible?

    Erm.. I guess.

But all you really need is squeeze page ---> affiliate promotion with your aff link.

Rest can be done with email marketing.

First let me say, yes but only if done right.

You don't want to go from a squeeze page to an affiliate offer right away or you'll ruin your reputation and conversions right from the get go.

When someone opts in to a squeeze page, if you give them something of value first, they'll be MUCH more likely to open new emails from you in the future.

If they're sent directly to an affiliate offer, they're MUCH more likely to mark your emails as spam and never open them.

    To answer your question, yes.

But if you're building a list, think of your relationship first.

Help people solve their problems and your conversions will happen. Just don't be a spammy sales person, who tries to sell every magic bullet under the sun for a quick buck...there are enough of them who come on this forum asking why no one opens their emails.

Save a step and help people first.

    It works.

Or you could design your squeeze page around an affiliate offer,
and that makes everything you said just irrelevant.

      Anyway.

Yes I totally agree that I must offer up something that's totally helpful to the viewer. I wouldn't do it in a sleazydeco way such as having exit pop ups and all that, just my personal opinion. But I was wondering if their was a way to do like a add to cart option with affiliate products but my guess is there'something probably not unless the products are from the same vendor.

Sure it is possible, but only if the product owner lets you send the traffic to the product itself, and not to their own squeeze page. It can be very confusing to the customer to see the squeeze page twice...
And you also have to find the way to present it right to the customers
You have to be very transparent of what is happening, or else they will feel something wrong
I would probably go the way Stefan just suggested - create a squeeze page of your own, provide value, and use the email to sell affiliate program - even more then just one

Sure you can. But I would recommend you using the affiliate links in your followup emails.

I send customer care emails after people buy that weave in other products of mine, affiliate offers, etc.etc.etc.

However, I make those a nature inclusion and first deliver on the value. IT's always a long-term proposition.

    Hope that helps!

Hmmm never looked at it that way. So you'really offering value and at the same time making an offer that can help your subscriber.

I'd recommend doing it this way:

Set up your squeeze page - don't mention the offer just yet. Just talk about the topic and how subscribing to your newsletter will benefit your customer.

Use the first 3-4 email messages to build a relationship with the customer. Ask them questions as if you were writing on a one-to-one basis. For example, let's say your affiliate product is one of those "how to get your ex back" ebooks. You might use email to tell people about little things they could do to mend their relationship. Or how to pull themselves back together after a breakup. Things like that.

Don't mention the offer until the third or fourth email. Don't just send them off to the affiliate's squeeze page either, but talk about the offer and how you think it would benefit them. Talk about others who have used it and what they have to say.

Remember, your ability to earn commissions is only as good as the affiliate's sales letter. If they can't sell their own product to a warm lead, neither can you.

      Yes indeed!

Also, in addition to including the link on the TY page and the other suggestions in this thread, I would create a special presell report that I would give away in exchange for their email address.

Obviously, the report needs to deliver value, but then it should steer them to the sales page for some more key info. Works especially well if there's an educational (sales) video on that page.

And then follow up in the emails, obviously.
