Launching my first ever product. Come watch.

So after months of postponing and coming up with excuses, I have decided to give myself a little motivation by setting up a thread amongst you great IM warriors.

For the next 14 days I will make at least one update per day in this thread, reporting on my work in progress.

I am going to:

1. Write an ebook about the current method I use to generate a few thousand dollars per month with a single website. My aim is to have 30+ pages.

2. Create a site to promote the ebook (Most likely on wordpress. Nothing like 99% of regular sales pages look like, I can't stand those personally)

3. Make loads of money and buy everyone in here a drink

A few things I am still uncertain about:

1. Should I list the book on affiliate networks like CB?

2. How much should I ask for the ebook. (I'm considering using affiliate links in the book, and have a disclaimer that buyers are allowed to resell it at the same price, but are not allowed to change any of the content).

3. Should I try and build a list, even though the book will be a one-time fee only? (There won't be a part two, since part one will cover everything).

4. Should I write the sales copy myself? (English isn't my native language)

All feedback will be much appreciated!

Here's what I would do (If I was promoting it myself, no affiliates)

Make the book larger than 10 chapters.

Make a simple squeeze page with the first chapter available to read.

Visitors have to opt in to read more...

Email them the second chapter straight away.

Email the third chapter the next day.

Pitch your book through your autoresponders for the next 10 days, every day.

Don't concentrate on sales pages and front end profits, concentrate on building a list for much larger back end profits.

Sales pages, whether its a blog or a one page site, only convert a very small amount of browsers into buyers.

Squeeze pages, autoresponders, free information, trust building, and teasers will boost your conversions through the roof.

    OR

Buy a PLR product, rebrand it (just a simple redesign of the cover will do) and offer it for free on a simple squeeze page.

Promote the hell out of that squeeze page, build your list, send them the free ebook and more free helpful information related to the ebook you are currently writing.

Don't mention your main ebook until after a week of free tips and advice through your autoresponder, this gives you time to build trust and credibility.

After a week promote your ebook to them every day for another week.

Doing either of them will make you MORE MONEY.

Don't concentrate on the front end.

Build trust, give free information and cash in on the BACK END.

    BUILD A LIST!

And most importantly, have fun =)

List is the way to go every time.

Making your own product can be very expensive, especially when you see the amount of good quality products that can be promoted without a cost or set up nightmare (I say this through personal experience) :-p

Once you have a list, look after them with good freebies and only send them to good products then you will grow and get yourself a good name.

Good luck with it either way

There types of "follow along with me" threads
    are not permitted.

You should start a blog to record your progress.
