Does anyone recommend a press release site that targets specific cities, sends releases to various media sources such as but not limited to newspapers, radio, and TV stations without charging an arm and a leg? Thanks.

You can do that with PRWeb!

They've made some changes since I last used them (including raised their prices), but last time I used them you could pick two metro areas where they would add an extra promotion.

Plus they have many more perks if you can pay for it.

    Not cheap but very targeted.

I would look through the WSO area for press releases. You can find some good deal there including good deals for PRWeb.

Thank you for your responses. I am familiar with PRWeb. They charge more than I am comfortable with. It seems to me that one needs to trust that any press release site is going to do what they say. I certainly would not want to invest a lot of money with a specific site when there lies this trust issue.

PRweb is too expensive for me. Has anyone tried SBWire - The Small Business Newswire | SBWire - The Small Business Newswire I spoke with them today and they claim that they could target releases to specific cities in the US and well as send releases to online sites but also newspapers, radio and tv stations. Also, they charge $39.95 per release for this service which is much cheaper than PRWeb. Does anyone have any experiences with this site? Thanks.

I used to use SBWire however they recently were removed from Google News (kind of spotty their results in getting included) and in terms of getting picked up by their media contacts, I usually do get replies but it is from current customers having questions about the product. It's an OK service but I think their new pricing structure provides less value for what they offer. But that is only just my experience with them.
