What Do you do after finishing your website ?

I want to thank all the people here for helping us, I took action and built my first website. it's about cooking recipes, I wrote 6 unique articles and put my affiliate link inside each article promoting clickbank products. I'm already working on my opt-in box that will be below every post.

I didn't made any sales, because of traffic! My question is what is the next step that I need to take? My goal Is to make $20 a day, do you think its achievable?

Regards

Well done for taking action and getting your site up, I'd keep adding content and I'd suggest that you don't have affiliate links on every post.
As for traffic there are a ton of different ways to pursue depending on your time and budget constraints. YouTube would be ideal for a cooking site as would Pinterest for starters.

Congratulations, You could set up a few social media accounts now and start posting recipe tips to gain followers, every now and then link back to your website and this will help grow your brand and traffic.

Really well done! Keep working on the optin box! Be sure sure you've got some content lined up. Don't just make it all product promotion...be sure to include some helpful content. And keep at it everyday, even if it's just 30 minutes. Good luck!

And put those articles to work, not just on your website. You can convert an article to pdf for free using Print Friendly & PDF
Then you can upload that article to slideshare.net, an awesome authority site filled with people searching specific topics.

Great way to leverage your efforts and get more traffic back to your site.

Get some SEO to the site, as it is the best way to sell it in my opinion.

Thats great work! Congratulations! You can have the best site and the best offers but people have to see it. I would suggest you sign up to forums related to your niche and provide some value there. I believe in the power of reciprocity! If you provide value others will notice and trust you and eventually buy from you!

Wish you all the best with you site!

Cooking is great for Pinterest, you should start there.

Also, as a rule of thumb, get rid of affiliate links until your traffic is at least 1k uniques per day. You won't make many conversions until then and probably just scare away people.

This is horrible advice. Don't waste traffic. Those first 999 visitors per day have no clue whether they are visitor 1, 999, or 1000.

Don't be overly aggressive with your selling. It's a soft sale. If you go too hard you will scare people away or have them being cynical about your intentions.

But for R'hllor's sake, don't waste traffic.

I suggest you link to your squeeze page instead of an affiliate offer. Once you have them on your list you can promote anything you like.

  • Congrats on going this far. Definitely setup and engage cooking enthusiasts on PInterest, Twitter and Facebook. However, try to engage people who have larger followings so you quickly accelerate expanding your reach and sphere of influence. Start a blog with catchy articles and Tweet about those blog posts and broadcast the imagery on PInterest.

It depends on what your business plan is. How did you plan on getting traffic to begin with?

My traffic will be from google and I'm also a SEO expert so I will not have a problem with organic traffic. Do you think email marketing will work for a cooking blog ?

Congrats for getting this far, many newbies are tempted to give up when starting a website - in this case however, looks like you had some good help from here

Money won't come over night, of course, and because you're basing your efforts on clickbank, it might take a while until you will see your first 20 dollars.

What you need to do now is to start building authority and connections between your website and other related resources. Don't let a day pass without adding even a little bit of content on your website - if you have a blog section, post in it - Google loves blog posts.

Try to become active on as many social networks as possible, fb and twitter first, but don't ignore pinterest or quora either.

You could also try submitting articles to dedicated platforms, perhaps on other people's blogs if they agree to let you put your own link in the article.

Posting comments on related blogs, with your website link in the signature is another way to go.

google for link building methods and try to make yourself a plan - do a little bit from what you learn every day. Getting organic traffic takes time but it worth and from what I understood from you, you're more anxious in getting money than in paying money for traffic - who wouldn't be

So go for natural link building, the web is full of resources on this chapter. Best of luck
