There seems to be many individuals that claim to have the "Magic Course" to tech you what is needed to make money online.

Can someone list few of the "Michael Jordan" of Internet marketing that one can trust or at least feel that what they say can be trusted?

Pat Flynn's: The Smart Passive Income Blog — Smart Ways to Live a Passive Income Lifestyle On the Internet with SmartPassiveIncome.com is probably the best resource out there. Honest guy as well.

He's part of the reason why I decided to get in the blog game as well: http://www.1ksociety.com - I wouldn't consider myself a "guru" but I'm doing this since 2003, I know a few things - which I'm going to write about.

So basically, these people only make money when you are starting out and buy a product they promote, like Bluehost or Aweber. Am I right?

From my experience, Mark Ling is one of the good guys in AM, and Matthew Woodward (matthewwoodward.co.uk) is up and coming. I've learned more from these guys than anyone else (haven't learned enough yet!).

I'm rather positive that "many" of the best Internet Marketers are not in the limelight... by their own choice.

However those in the limelight you definitely can learn things from. Just don't be a sheep & accept all their opinions as gospel IMO.

Gurus are really self-fulfilling prophecies. They market themselves as gurus, and then people start to tell other people that they are in fact gurus, and then those people start to tell other people that that they are indeed gurus, and somewhere along the line they become gurus (supposedly)!

What does this mean? Take everything with a grain of salt. Don't think there's some magic formula because there isn't. You can make a lot of money, but it's all about having a good foundation, a little initiative and a lot of focus. If you know the basics, can identify some opportunities and are willing to work for it, success will come... provided that you persevere of course.

Sorry, I just realized I didn't answer your question as such, but maybe you'll find this useful. I don't keep up-to-date with the latest "gurus" because new ones seem to pop up all the time (which might tell you something).

P.S. Having said all that, I did learn a lot from Jay Abraham. Check out all of his stuff here (for free): http://www.abraham.com/gifts/thankyou.html

I'm pretty damn good! Baring that because I'm assuming that's not what you meant, here are the people upon which I've built my success.

All the people are those from whom I've learned either though their coaching or by studying and reverse engineering what they do.

    1. Dan Kennedy - have bought and studied many of his copywriting books and direct response marketing newsletters (GKIC INNER CIRCLE)

    2. Bill Glazer - GKIC

    3. Jim Daniels and Willie Crawford - 2 of the first gurus I've learned from when I started in 1998. They are still around today, having withstood the text of time.

    4. Perry Belcher - My go to for out-of-the-box PPC stuff that is directly responsible for a significant portion of my PPC income.

    5. Ryan Deiss - He is a standup guy with who me I've worked and has a vast wealth of actionable and profitable advice.

    6. Frank Kern - I've both used his free stuff and paid stuff (Mass Control) to create some of the largest and fastest paced launches I've ever done.

    7. Ben Altadonna - a DRM expert who has generated millions through direct response marketing. I've worked with him personally as well as coached. He is a big role model in my businesses and successes

    8. Gary and Nancy White - Cookie Cutter/Beginners Central - They're no longer around but worthy of a "shout out" because they're the people through whome i "discovered" direct response marketing.

I'm sure I have others but those are the first come to mind.

    WARRIORS I like.....

Damn.... I need to go get their user names. I'll come back and edit them in.
