I've met very many extremely wealthy people in the course of business, but have yet to meet an honest to goodness billionaire. That will change this morning. I have a project meeting with one and his wife ( I guess that would make her one too). Something to aspire to, I suppose.

It wasn't Bill Gates. I've never met him, although I saw him speak at a press event once, and he is one of those I would like to meet most. There are a few people with that kind of money in the greater Pacific NW area. More than you'd think. This guy was a very interesting individual. Very analytical and deliberate, with a lot of wheels spinning inside his head. One of those people that wanted to grasp exactly what you were talking about, but you could tell he was a real big picture sort, and had people to handle the smaller details.

He seemed to be a combination of brilliance, drive, and a bit of being in the right place at the right time. However, as someone once said, endless preparation and hard work makes good luck.

That would have been fascinating, Im sure! Its funny when you meet with these people, they often acknowledge that they really were 'in the right place at the right time' - but often, that itself is a product of one's ambition and determination to get where they want to be! Congrats and hope you take on board alot of their teachings!

Really, more billionaires in the NW than we'd think? There are less than 1000 billionaires in the entire world (at least according to Forbes) so I think it'd be pretty easy to figure out who you met, as there really can't be that many billionaires in the Pacific NW.

Most of them have multiple residences throughout the world, do business world wide, and don't travel the same way the rest of us do. They can meet anywhere in the world on any given day, depending on their schedule. I'd like to say depending on their schedule and yours, but I'd be fooling myself. LOL
