Default Your Competitive Analysis Tool Sucks... Seriously.

Chances are, if you're using a competitive analysis tool, it blows.

Now don't take offense, I MADE one of these tools.

But today I was giving a demo of one that makes everything else I've seen look just plain silly. You can find it at Syntryx Executive Solutions. This tool has so much information at its digital fingertips, it's astounding. I can see all your links, how you got them, their value in the search engines, the affiliate networks you use, the products you promote as an affiliate, the promotional emails you send, the services you use, the technology you employ, the partnerships you've built...

I can probably find out which side of the bed you sleep on and what color your underwear is. (It's red, isn't it? I knew it was red.)

The catch, of course, is that this tool is probably out of the price range of 99% of the people here- $30,000 per year. OUCH. Lucky for me, one of the companies I'm working with is considering buying in, and I for one CANNOT WAIT.

So why am I sharing this?

-Showing off? Nah, it's not like I could afford this thing myself, sheesh!
-Making fun of your (and my own) apps? I'm self deprecating, but not to that extreme.
-Cause I'm a smarty-pants? Mmmm... Maybe.

Actually, I'm sharing this because not long ago the competitive analysis tools I saw and bought here and from those that frequent this forum were BAD ASS. Enough so that when I worked in the agency world WE were using them. Someone just had to go and raise the bar.

So lets get it together, Warriors. Take a look at the Syntryx site and get inspired. WE'RE the cutting edge of this industry. WE re-write the rules. We should be the ones that can make a comparable app, and sell it for a reasonable price.

So who's it gonna be? Who's going to make the next game changing tool?

(I call not it)
