I've been reading alot about hyip. Its seems that there are alot of scammers in these programs including the monitors. Anyone here? earning profit in hyip? What programs did you join?
I notice that there are loopholes in these investment that we could take advantage of. Any input would be helpful.

These are not "investments". They are illegal programs, that 95% of the time you will lose out on. The only people who make money are the monitors, who get a commission for supposedly "rating" and "monitoring", and the "admins" who take off with the stake.

I've been down the road on these back 7-8 years ago and can easily say "Been there.. done that.. LOST my shirt"

HYIPs are scams. They all fail at some point since they rely on new "investors" to pay old ones.

Hyips are definately scams. Money could be made if your get in the beginning and then cashing out before they run away with the money. These companies want to gain good feedback in the beginning so they can attract more and larger investors so they will pay early on. Your odds are much better if you go down to your local casino and put in all on black.

You would want to avoid this kind of program as much as possible. Most of the programs are scam and you will not earn profits in the long term.

It will be more practical to invest your money into building a real business. Read through this forum as it provides tons of valuable information which you can use.

Don't waste your time which is the most valuable asset

Thanks for the inputs. It seems that many people here are skeptical about hyip. Yes mrwrecker, thats what I thought so , you could earn if you get in early then exit early. But still, very risky. Not ideal if your looking for a long term investment...Thanks guys

Now that was a good post. Can't really explain HYIP better than that right there. my advice would be to listen to everyone on this forum, when the vast majority, in this case 100%, say its a scam, I would believe them. The forum has not steared me wrong thus far.

I experimented with these when I was a teenager. I can definitely tell you that they are all scams. They usually want you to use e-gold to process your deposit because e-gold is untraceable, then they will make out like a bandit with your money and you will never hear from them again. They might pay you if you are lucky the first time, but that is to only sucker you in to put in the big bucks before they stop responding to your e-mails and you wonder where they went. When I first got into the internet I was a victim of a couple of these schemes. I am wiser now and know if something sounds to good to be true then it probably is.

    HYIP's are Ponzi schemes.

If you are in from the start you may make money, but sooner or later it stops.

Stay well clear. If it looks to good to be true it usually is.

    From SEC's Site:

    Warning to All Investors About
    Bogus "Prime Bank" and Other
    Banking-Related Investment Schemes

Lured by the promise of astronomical profits and the chance to be part of an exclusive, international investing program, investors are once again falling prey to bogus "prime bank" scams. These fraudulent schemes involve the purported issuance, trading, or use of so-called "prime" bank, "prime" European bank or "prime" world bank financial instruments, or other "high yield investment programs" ("HYIP"s). The fraud artists who promote these schemes often use the word "prime" - or a synonymous phrase, such as "top fifty world banks" - to cloak their programs with an air of legitimacy. They seek to mislead investors by suggesting that well regarded and financially sound institutions participate in these bogus programs. But prime bank and other related schemes have no connection whatsoever to the world's leading financial institutions or to banks with the word "prime" in their names. The Securities and Exchange Commission and other federal and state agencies are continuing to warn investors about these scams.

"You can't cheat an honest man."
"If it seems too good to be true, it probably is."

The reason HYIPs, and almost all scams, work is that they prey one of our most basic human emotions. GREED.

If you allow your moral compass to lead you when determining whether or not to get involved in a profit generating opportunity you'll rarely become involved in anything like HYIPs. I doubt that there are many investors that are truly surprised when they get screwed by this type of scheme. Even someone with half a brain will question the validity of this type of investment prior to making that payment.

These schemes are truly evil because they frequently prey on the most desperate people. These people know they should not invest in these scams, but the lure of earning fast money to get themselves out of some financial difficulty is just to attractive to resist. Inevitably they find themselves in a deeper hole than they were in to begin with.

Bgucor run, do not walk, as far away from all of these type of investment opportunities as fast as you can.

    Take Care,
    Gene

Thanks for the advice Gene. You caught me there guilty as charge. The reason that it got me curious was because of its easy return, looking desperate and it feeds my sometimes destructive adventure seeking personality. Although I have some spare money, I am considering other ways of earning online,

I took one look at this kind of program a few years ago, held my nose and ran the other way. If it smells like a skunk...well. There are just too many ways to make clean money on the net than to get into the gutter with questionable programs.

    All the best.

Has anyone here been involved with Profitable Sunrise. On the surface it looks good. They say they give out short term loans at high interest rates. Investors can earn up to 2.15% per day, draw cash each day or week OR elect to compound for anything up to 180 days. If compounded, phenominal return. $1000 grows to about $24 000 in that time. Just looking but being cautious. They say that they insure against loss. Some compound for 3 days manually, then take cash for the nest 3 days, then compound again for 3 etc. The idea is to get "seed cash" out as soon as possible and yet grow the investment. Apparently based in the UK but not sure about that. Comment seen on MLM watchdog makes me scared to need to know if anyone has experience in this line.
PROFITABLE SUNRISE = SUNSET FOR YOUR $
Another High Yield Investment Program (HYIP) which means Ponzi Scheme except that this is a Micro scam that lets suckers join for $10. Of course that is just so they can get you suckered into putting in $1,000’s! It originates out of the UK so you never have a chance of getting your money back (at least Zeek you have some chance). They talk charity but their UK address is out of the equivalent of US “Mailboxes R us. Run, run, run!

I'm not sure if this would be considered a HYIP or not, but I know that it totally convinced me that any site that sells "adpacks" or "blocks" of the "company," or any site with the letters "HYIP" anywhere on it, is something to turn and run away from as fast as possible.

I'm referring to the "Traffic Monsoon" debacle.

For those that haven't heard of it, it was perpetrated by a guy that may just be as bad a Bernie Madoff, if not worse.

I won't mention his name here, because believe it or not, after being caught out perpetrating scams more than once, he still has loyal supporters (mostly family), who claim he's innocent.

He may just be one of the most prolific internet scammers of all time.

Well, I'll let you be the judge:

Pyramid investment scheme worth £160MILLION shut down after taking money from 162,000 people - Mirror Online

In short, ANY investment that promises massive returns in very short periods of time is probably something you don't want to touch. I'm not saying they don't exist, but chances are finding a legit one is like finding a needle in a field of haystacks.
