How do I reset my username in Wordpress?

I set up a new Wordpress Blog

I use HostGator

I guess I wrote down the wrong username.

It keep saying invalid username

How do I find my username or reset it?

    In that case you have the following options:
    1. Read the Codex page that John linked to above - and in the same way as you would change the pw in the database via command line or phpMyadmin, change the user name
    2. Since this is a brand new blog without content, just delete everything and install it again

    Open PhpMyAdmin select the database of the blog. When you see the databasepull up look to the left and you will see a square box and wp-users.

    Click on the square box and you will see the admin account, click on the pencil to edit. On the next screen you will see the field for admin name (user_login) you can edit it from "admin" to anything else. Once edited then scroll down and click on go to save..

    It's that simple..

    Have you tried clicking on the "lost password" link on the log in page?

    This usually works as long as you enter the correct email address, wordpress will email a new password for you.

    If that doesn't work, then you need to follow the advice given in this video
