Easy way to add videos to your WSOs/products

Have you ever wanted to add videos to your products....

But don't want the hassle of putting up a membership site where your buyers could access them?

One easy way (keep in mind it can be shared but it certainly will add perceived value) is to upload videos to YouTube, make them unlisted, and then provide direct call-out links to them within your PDF report.

Now, I am definitely NOT a video person so I don't offer them much myself. However, if you want to include them, adding them within your PDF is a very simple technique to do!

Did you know you could even embed videos INSIDE of a PDF?

Planet PDF - Adding Video to PDF with Adobe Acrobat

gives you one tutorial for just that.

It's really simple to create videos as well. You can do just a free screen recording via

Screencast-O-Matic - Free online screen recorder for instant screen capture video sharing.

TechSmith | Jing, Free Screenshot and Screencast Software

or use the open source version of camtasia:

CamStudio - Free Screen Recording Software

Lots of options available....

Enjoy!

Thanks for the links! It brings up a question I have.
I have checked your link and several others I searched for.
I actually found your thread searching for answers.

So I figure why not ask it here in your thread and getting answers from people actually doing this and helping all of us.

With inserting videos into a PDF, what is the best file format to use that will keep the overall pdf file size to it's most minimum size without reducing quality too much.

My situation is including about 15 videos which are about 21mb in size each, currently in the mp4 format. I don't mind if I have to convert them to a different video format.

Will the final size be way too big to even consider doing it?

My final goal is to let it be downloadable so that they can be watched offline on any device, or at least, most devices.

    Anyone experienced with this?

Thanks Again for bringing this topic up.

    Joe

Since you would actually embed the videos into the PDF it should not increase the size at all. The videos would need to be hosted on YouTube or Vimeo and the embeded file is justed linked to your video. If someone printed the PDF the would not get the advantage of the embeded video but if someone was reading from a computer or tablet they would be able to access the video.

    Hi Vincent, Thanks.

I was trying to convey that I wanted to actually place the videos in the pdf file so when someone downloads it, they don't need internet access to view it.

Sorry if I wasn't clear on that.
