Sales Letter/Product on New domain or existing?

I have my own brand and fitness niche website, containing some pretty good content like blog articles, etc. As well as free reports, with an email grabber, follow-up series, etc.

I do have a "Products" section on my site, that says Coming Soon.

I'm almost done creating my info product / eBook with my branding, and have even come up with a name for it.

My question is should I create a completely new domain (with the name of the product/program as domain name) and have the sales letter / details / purchase page there?

Or should I have the product on my "Products" section on the original domain name I have for the whole company?

Also, the main/original domain ends in .net

If a new domain for my info product/system is the route to go, would you recommend using a .com or .net ? Does consistency here affect my audience/anything at all?

Are you planning on getting affiliates to promote your product too?

.com's are usually the better way to go but it depends on your needs.

You can effectively SEO a domain that is .biz, .org .us etc so I would ask are you doing a branding campaign for your product?

I would create the salespage on your main website if i were you. Trust is a major part in selling products online and if they know your site and like the content they'll be more likely to buy imo.

There's a reason why all major companies use retargeting in their marketing strategy, actually 2 reasons: reengaging their visitors and building trust. So if you add the product on your own page you'll have both their trust and they'll see the advertisements for your product multiple times, hence increasing your conversions.

I'm sure you're planning to add more products, right? If so, I would use the "products" page for listing your products (with short descriptions) and then create separate product pages for each (either on your domain or on new and separate domains) and then link to those from your "products" page.

    HI
I am pretty new to IM, but as a costumer who already knows your site, i would love to have the new product there - or at least a sales letter or a link, directing me to your domain(if you chose to have a seperate one for your product).
This way you can utilize your existing readership and vistors.
I personally would buy a second domain and link to it from my main website.
I hope that helps and good luck with your product launch.

I wanted a .com for the original site to begin with, but .net was only available.

Yes, I do plan on having affiliates promote my product.
