I'm very happy to announce:

"We are making good progress on restoring full mailing capability. The current plan is to restore outbound email by tomorrow."

You can check the official status here: GetResponse Status

By the time I posted this update, there was a new one.

"Akamai and Windstream have finished provisioning our IP space through a fully routed always-on scrubbing service (clean pipe). We are now testing our IP configuration and working as fast as possible to resolve outbound mailing capability. Shouldn't take long now... "

    Mick,

You really don't need to make multiple threads about the status of GetResponse.

    Hey Mick,

I'm wondering if GR will be issuing partial/full refunds for the month? Similar to what most hosting companies do when there is a major outage.

I hope they do something for their customers as it's costing many folks (myself included) lots of money. Luckily I have 4 autoresponders and GR is only one of my "back ups" so I can still make some money, but many of my friends/affiliates are out of luck as they only use GetResponse...

    Cheers,
    Coby

Good Question - I don't have a good answer yet. I manage the affiliate program for GetResponse, so I was focused on keeping my affiliates informed and updated.

I'll get back with the answer (after I've found it out).

      Cheers,

      Mick

I'm assuming that some people may not be reading the older threads for updates. I'm trying to go for the side of widest distribution (for people like Tim). I know that people's livelihoods are being effected, so I'm erring on the side of over communication.

I'm also trying to update the older threads to cover my bases there (for people like yourself and GarrieWilson).

If I'm coming across as spamming it's not my intention...normally I'm a lurker, but these are extraordinary times.

Once things go back to normal, I'm going back to managing the affiliate program, and lurking for opportunities to integrate with GetResponse.

          Cheers,

Thanks - this would be good for the affiliates of GR to know as well.

As a GR affiliate myself - I'd be more willing to promote/continue to promote a service that I know will take care of my referrals.

It's times like this that make me an advocate for having a self-hosted autoresponder - if anything - just for a backup.

For me, I only have about 2,500 people at GR. So it's my smallest list and thus has the least impact on my business. But I have friends that are losing massive amounts of money right now since they have no backup to their GR account(s).

        Thanks for the updates.

        Cheers,

          Hi Coby,

          Two good points.

Redundancy is never a bad thing. It's always good to have a fallback.

          Cheers,

God thanks that outage is guaranteed, so everyone is probably entitled to some kind of refund, according to: Legal Notices- email marketing - GetResponse
