Do you oursource article writing?

Do you oursource article writing? If you do, how much you usually pay per word/article? If you don't, why not?

Those are my questions to you. I'm going to be completely honest here. Why am I asking this? Well, in my last JV I had to create a whole network of article writers to meet the unique quality content demands the project had. Now the project is up and running. So we hired few writers to write 8 hours a day and that was that. But now I have this incredible resource of writers wanting more work. So I was thinking that there might be a little side business here. If there's enough demand I could potentially offer very affordable & fast content service for any niche. Warriors would of course get lower price

I'm not trying to sell anything here. I'm just trying to find out if I should pursue this any further. And as you all know, what you do when you want to know if business has potential? You survey the market so here we go

A lot of online marketers hire/outsource article writers or bloggers. It is your call whether to give them more work or not. But of course, you also have to consider where to post those articles and if they will attract more market to your site. You might be paying them without any income at the end of the day.

Yes, I hire article writers in some of my niches. I pay for quality articles around 8-15 bucks for 1000 words.

I have gotten cheaper articles done for 2 bucks per, but they were junk and needed lot's of editing.

yep i agree around $3-4 for a 500 word article. However I would expect the writer to provide me with a sample of teir work first and to be paid on receipt of the articles and not in advance. Also whilst i do use article writers i don't use them very often because the quality is usually poorer

I outsource much of my content creation right now.

Most of it is outsourced to 3 people whom I work with regularly... paying between $5 and $10 for high level content is fantastic leverage, and the R.O.I is almost criminal

I would easily pay 2 of my writers $40 per article + if they requested it.

I have a part-time writer I hired who churns out articles, reports, and transcripts for me.

Yes, I outsource writer to do this work.
But because of don't have so much money,
I only hire one.

But that's enough for your initial progress if he/she works full time.

Let me chime in on this post and share a quick story. I hired a writer about a year ago...It was more than just email writing, solo ads, articles, video scripts and PPC ads. It was an ongoing process that included a monthly fee with a $400 startup. I had done some small ads with him before and I had a great turn around, I paid the $400 to get the advertising going and was stiffed.

Tim Bossie from Guaranteed-ads.com. I highly recommend you do not invest in his products/services. I am not one to down another marketer but I hate to see people being bounced on their hard earned money.

So if you run into this guy.. be careful.

In time I will, I need to unload writing projects. I'll get the services of my friends who can do part-time writing. Otherwise, I have to hire a freelancer online.

I am currently paying $4 for rewrites with some added meat 400 words. For topics they are familiar with $6 for full articles. Topics new to them- because of the research needed I am paying anywhere from $6 - $12 per article. To me the price of the article is not as important as quality content. The articles I purchased when I started outsourcing did not teach my visitors anything. After reading the articles I purchased I was probably less informed on the subject than before reading.

If you have good writers you can get paid a healthy sum for great content. It took me a while to find my writers and I would not trade them for any...

I have to outsource. Couldn't keep up with the necessary volume any other way. I pay anywhere from 10 to 18.00 per - depending on the article word count. I've tried cheaper when I first started outsourcing but - as someone else here said - the articles were absolute ****e and not worth the bother. In fact I've not once purchased an article that would pass quality control for under 10.00. And believe me, I've searched for cheap writers.
