Good way to get subscribers/views? (blog)

Hey could some someone give me some advice on the best way to get some views and subscriptions on a blog? it's skincare and I actively use Twitter to follow people who talk about their skin and give them suggestions, e.g. micro marketing (i think?) I'd love some suggestions,

Mike

edit: im also not using advertisements on my site, it's very militaristic on purpose and i'd like to focus more on subscriptions with email marketing etc. thank you.

Go to Forums, or Facebook Group for this specific niche skinecare discover the problem they have with their skin, get a PLR ebook, they are a lot of free....modify and twick it in your own add some pictures inside the report, give some valuable info inside. save the report as pdf and give it free in your blog in exchange of their email, in my opinion the report should be short 10 pages should be fine to go...

Ex. have a title of the report 7 skin problems during and after pregnancy and here you will have a targeted buyer

    Hi Mike,

Create helpful content and help others get subscribers by promoting others aggressively. The way to get is to give freely. Wanting more views means you'll need to help others get page views. Network in your niche, meet an increasing number of people. More than anything, pay it forward to get paid. I've traveled the world for 3 years running using the online Golden Rule of promoting others from my niche...it works! All the best

    Hi,

You could look at getting those leads onto an email list first.

Then you can send them tips and advice and direct them to your blog
    via your emails.

This for me has been one of the BEST ways to get repeat traffic simply because
people who have been sent to my blog via email keep coming back to re-read
    my content.

The search engines give you EXTRA love too overtime once they see that people
are actively looking at your blog for 10, 20, 30 minutes at a time and begin to look
at your blog as being really important to others.

So without being an SEO nut you get some extra free traffic from the search engines
    too.

So building a list alongside directing those leads to your blog is a very powerful
    tactic indeed.

    Hi..

Fosu... suggestions is a good one !

You actually need to educate yourself more about different various ways of driving traffic to your blog.

The suggestion fosu gave is a huge one, however, there is much more to this suggestion to really capitalize on this suggestion.

For one thing, have you done onpage seo to your website to get organic traffic, come up on 1st page of google and also are you doing offpage seo to build some links pointing back to your site., this will help you get traffic and eye balls on your site so you can get signups.

There are many things that you need to be thinking about and get into place to maximize what you are doing and trying to get accomplished.

Education, go invest into anything that will help you become knowledgeable on how to market online and drive traffic, and if your budget permits consulting, coaching is crucial since it will save you time and money, and get you into profit sooner then later.

Decide on 1 or 2 ways you will focus on driving traffic with, so you can focus all of your energy on making that 1 or 2 ways for you then move on once you have mastered those, as opposed to trying to do a whole bunch of ways to drive traffic, just kick butt with a one or two ways and you should get some results, but this will take some work on your part in figuring out what is going to be your primary tactic in accomplishing this.

You are already doing twitter, if this is what you want to focus on, and willing to put the time into it, then make it your primary focus and become an expert on this one method, and you should see some results provided you take the right steps that will compliment all your efforts toward making twitter work for you.

For example, ask yourself does the title of your new ebook create excitement enough for people to say yes I want to read it, can I make this ebook go viral some how and how do I do it.

If this is a project you are thinking of sticking with, your blog could be instrumental in helping you, if you are willing to put the time into it and learn how to maximize your time with blog marketing, since blogging can be a lot of work, but if done correctly and making sure you apply onpage seo to your blog posts, in addition to other things, it can gain traction if done correctly.

Pick up a ebook on copywriting, to learn how to create attractive appealing headlines that stop people in their tracks.

What is your knowledge so far about twitter marketing, show much studying have you done in micro blogging, share some things you already know and are doing, so others know here what you are not doing so others can help you and may make additional suggestions.

i definitely recommend commenting on related popular forums. After a while these can really build up and you'll start getting a lot of traffic! Are you providing something of value? if you can give honest, HELPFUL advice then people that are interested enough to come to your blog will be interested and convinced enough to sign up to your blog.

Guys thank you all SO much for these replies. They're extremely useful to me and I am going to implement them all.

    I have another question,

when members sign up to the site; my plan (because I don't post daily, usually 2-3 days) is to send them a copy of the blog post via email. Is this OK? So they use their email to read the blog post rather than visiting my site. Or should I send maybe half of the post, and then leave a "Continue to read....click here" to the remaining article?

Thanks again guys, you're all the best

Either way are good strategy, it's by splitting and testing your followup message the time will tell you witch email convert well. BTW, if you are trusted by your prospect and have gave them valuable info, in my opinion I believe both technique will not harm you.....

If you want an effective strategy to grab the most possible subscribers, you should set up a 'survey' on your landing page (squeeze page or whatever)

Since you're an expert in the area of skincare why not set up a survey, so that as soon as a visitor hits your landing page, they can fill out a 'skin care and analysis survey' and analysis' survey and get a personalized answers from you.

        For example you might ask...

        - What type of skin do you have? (and you offer say three multiple choice answers dry, normal, oily)

        - How often do you cleanse and moisturize your face? (never, at night only, morning and night)

I don't know your industry, but you get what I mean.

Then you can set up personalized responses based on the answers they give to the survey questions.

And then, based on their answers, they would get their 'personalized skin car profile' emailed to them when they give you their email address.

It's an enormously powerful (an under used )strategy.

Because straight away the visitor feels like you are wanting to help then personally, and it keeps them involved with you.

Also, if you word the survey right, you can keep the visitor on your site and interested. And the longer they stay on your site, the better.

Truthfully, I didn't think these methods were worth my time a month ago, but after finishing a recent program where they were touted, I think very differently.

If you're looking for free traffic methods, provide value in your posts on forums such as this. Also, find blogs in your niche and post useful comments. Don't just say, "Nice post. Thanks." Provide useful feedback. Devote a set amount of time to this every day, and your results will be amazing.

I know it's not fun by some people's standards because it requires work. I've devoted about an hour a day (sometimes more) to just these two methods, and I've already seen subscribers to my sites.

After you get traffic using free methods, you can then move to more targeted traffic (paid) from solo ads.

Good luck to you. Just keep moving forward.

  • Hey Mike,

The biggest key to getting sub and sign up is to provide the most value you can.

When it comes to a blog there are a couple step to take, for free subs, this will take work but it will also pay off.

    1. Research your market, what kind of questions do they have about your products or services i.e. skincare
    2. Research keywords that will drive traffic from the people and their questions that you researched (pick at most 3 keywords)
    3. Write an article that will answer their questions in as much depth as you possibly can, solve their problems. If there problems are solved they will subscribe.
    4. Use the keywords in your article, but not a lot of time just 1% and make your content flow, the more professional it feels the more people will follow you.

It really doesn't matter is your going for SEO or paid ads, if your content doesn't provide value people will not sub.

Also with SEO the more content you have in your article i.e. 1500 words plus, Google will look at you as an Authority with value and you will show high in search engines and you will also stay there.

SEO does take a little time, but if you have Google Webmaster tools linked to your site you can "push index" you blog posts.

Anyway hope this helps, if you need any help feel free to reach out I love this stuff

    Justin =)

Mike there are some great suggestions above, but I'd like to add a quick way to get to your first 100 or so subscribers.

As some of the others suggested, you need to provide value for someone to subscribe to you. What are they getting in return for giving you their e-mail address and attention. These, people expect more free stuff and immediate value. So here's a step-by-step path you can take to build your list.
    1) Create something of value - an e-book, an e-mail course, a video training series, a list of resources or discounts. For you I'd suggest an e-book - The Ultimate Skin Care Guide, or something like that. You'll need to know your audience and what they want to create something that they'll value.
    2) Next, create a landing page using Unbounce/LeadPages/Instapage or similar software. Set up a page that explains what this free product is about, how it will help the reader, who you are and why they should listen to you, and so on. Then set up a subscribe form on the page asking them to subscribe for instant access to your free product.
    3) Then connect the form to an e-mail service like mailchimp or aweber. Once subscribers are in your list, keep sending them more free value (even after the initial free e-book), valuable blog posts and so on. If your content is good your subscribers will share your stuff and organically grow your list.
    4) Finally, to send some quick traffic to your landing page offer, use Facebook ads and target it to your audience. With good targeting and ad copy, you can get hundreds of clicks to your landing page for cheap.

Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes.

I've read about posting on other Blogs too. I use a wordpress.org site so should I, for example, post comments on just any blog related to my niche? Would you recommend I link my site in the Comments too - or would this seem spammy?

Oo, I am connected to Mailchimp already so this should be really useful. Would you recommend me use an email course AND a eBook? I'm currently writing an ebook about skin diseases such as Psoriasis, Eczema, Dermatitis etc. which is going really indepth looking at all potential causes, cures and so much more. My overall plan is to make a "skin disease bible" with hundreds of pages, and dirt cheap. No more than $4. Is this a good idea?

    It's Easy...
I suggest you, just follow this:

Heading over to Facebook, spread your blog, this will increase your blog's views.
Now, you might be thinking about how to spread your blog on Facebook!
Everyone suggest the basic way, like joining the Facebook groups, posting your blog there, commenting etc.

I would say, you definitely do this. But the powerful thing I would like to suggest you is that you post your blog anywhere on Facebook, using this Viral Facebook App. This will in turn increase your blog's views.

Suppose you post at 10 places in Facebook, like on few groups, commented on few posts etc.
But it will get spread multiple times more than that because of this Facebook App.

I hope this will be helpful to you and increase views & in turn subscription of your blog.
