Hello there,

I've a question regarding the Clickbank affiliation.
Suppose I need a product called "X" ! Now product-X has a cost of $500 and it's a clinkbank product !
Suppose I make a clickbank account and get the affiliate-link for product-X which offers $50 commission & then buy the product with my own affiliate link, would I receive $250 from clickbank affiliation?
If no, what if i repeat the steps but have my friend as the middle man !
Is it possible?

Regards

Are you willing to buy the same product 5 times? Otherwise how can you receive $250 with a product which provides $50 in commission?

He obviously means 50% (not $50) commission.

Yes you will receive credit in your account for purchases made with your affiliate link but you will not get paid until you meet the Customer Distribution Rule which basically means you need a minimum of 5 sales (not to be confused with the 5 identical purchases mentioned above).

I agree. This can be done, but it is something they frown upon. To be in the business long term it is best not to try to dabble in the grey areas. If someone were to do this for most products they were promoting I imagine they would eventually get picked up on it at best, and perhaps even banned at worst. I know that sounds drastic but people get banned from websites for far less.

ClickBank frowns upon customers doing this - which is why they impose the Customer Distribution rule. As regards affiliates purchasing under their own id in order to evaluate a product before promoting most people would regard this as acceptable and would certainly not get an account banned.
