Hi all just wanting to know if anyone knows of any good Website submission sites?

    Just submit to google and bing that is the huge majority of traffic anyway. Plus there are tons of spiders that come to your site once you start tweeting and such and the auto ping goes out as soon as you make your 1st post on wordpress and a bunch of spiders come running lol, so they will all pick it up pretty quick but I would manually do google and bing 1st tho.

    And then get google webmaster and bing webmaster and submit sitemaps.

    Yah, engines are super quick these days. I don't even bother. I just go straight to building content and back-links and let it happen naturally.

    Yeah -i also guess it you can use your time better - go out and build backlinks or add some valuable content to your website!

      Website submissions is not that effective now, however I can only suggest these top 3: Yahoo Directory, BOTW and Dmoz.org..

    Hi there, are you living in the 2000s?

    Now days you DO NOT need to submit your site to any engines at all.

    Modern browsers index all new sites automatically when they see another site linking to it.

    All you have to do is to link your site from social media sites like facebok, twitter etc or from blog comments/forum posts -and within few days your site will pop up on the search.

    To speed up the process you can sign up for these 2 sites and add your site,

    http://www.google.com/webmasters/tools/
    Bing - Webmaster Tools

      How right you are.

      That kind of submission BS went out the window about 10 years ago, and yet there are still companies out there selling this nonsense to unsuspecting punters.

      If they think about it for a moment they might wake up and smell the coffee. Do they really think Google needs someone else to tell them which sites to go and spider?

      Site submission really is money for nothing.

      I have been building WordPress websites and doing SEO for about 10 years, with a page-1 success or two along the way, and I have never used, nor would I EVER consider using site submission, except in one case and one case only.

      And that is, if a wanted a searched for URL that's 404ing removed from Google's index, I would use their Webmaster tools to submit a replacement.

    You need to work on getting your website indexed, for this make sure that the meta tags are defined correctly and on page optimization is done correctly. Make sure to get authoritative backlinks for your web pages so that their search engine weightage increases.
