Google+ Authorship Confusion in Google Search Results

Hi Friends,

I have some issue with the Google+ authorship getting displayed in SERP Results.

Eariler I had linked all my blogs to my Google+ author profile and my photo was getting displayed in the SERP results. Later somewhere in Dec-2013, search results stopped displaying my profile pic. I have also read so many resources regarding this issue and I kept quiet thinking there might be some issue.

Recently when I was checking my blog in Google.fr , I could see that my Google SERP is displaying my photo in the results. I have also checked for some other articles present on my blog and my photo was displayed.

I could see that other than English ( like Google.com/Google.com.au/Google.co.uk ) rest of the Google (like France, Germany, etc..) my profile pic is being shown.

Ex.
Google.com > I searched "Blog Smart Guide" No Profile Pic but
Google.fr/Google.ru/ etc > I had searched for "Blog Smart Guide" , my profile pic is shown.

I have checked through the "Structured Data Testing Tool" and able to see my picture. If my profile is banned, I shouldn't see my pic here nor in any other Google searches.

Can you please tell me what went wrong here ? Is there anyone who is facing similar kind of issue.

Regards
Venkat

A while ago Google updated who's face was shown in the SERPS because it was getting abused. Everyone caught onto it and the SERPS suddenly started looking like Facebook comments (faces on every listing)

You can read more about it here (not my article)

As for the OP, maybe your blog is seen in a better light in France? Who knows. PM Any of the three Mikes they'll probably have an answer for you.

Google determines who's important enough to get their face shown. Keep building authority and maybe your pic will pop back up. I think in the end Google authorship is just a way to find out what content was written by a real person.
