where to get feedback on site? total noob to marketing online

hi - i have developed a product to sell online and have never really sold much online. i am a computer scientist by trade and so i'm not familiar with selling and marketing yet.

i don't know where to go or ask for feedback or suggestions on what to read, watch and where to learn how to improve my site.

the product is a way to mine bitcoins while someone is on your site using their computing resources and without installing any software; this way anyone who visits a web site is automatically adding value to the site owner via bitcoins.

i have set up a landing page and that is about as far as I have gotten.

my site - if you are interested is www.coingrail.com

any help is greatly appreciated!

Nice clean and fresh look, my thoughts are as a sales page it needs to cover what you get more, $99 isn't massive money to spend but people need to be sure what they are actually buying.

They want to know what the benefit is to them, making money online is offered everywhere so why is this different, what's the 3 biggest benefits of buying this?

    Is there a guarantee?

This could leverage much higher sales, yeah you might get refunds but the extra sales should cover it if the product does what promises, and people can get a refund within 60 days through PayPal anyway and you can't stop them so best for you to offer it upfront.

What I would say is if you were just looking to get the optin then not a lot more would need to be done, I think a page should have 1 use, so its simple and gives the viewer 1 option, having the optin for more and the buy button can confuse more than having just the buy button or optin form alone.

You could just go for the optin front end then sell or go for the buy first off and if they close then have a popup for an option to optin for more details, free resource sheet etc.

For a newbie not a bad effort, a little work needed but on the right track, then just keep testing and see what works best in form of headlines, sub text, bullet points etc to get better conversions.

I think it's a nice clean looking website and it puts me to shame.

I think what would help would be some income scenarios based on traffic. I'm a complete Luddite, but even for those technologically inclined are you sure that they are familiar enough with Bitcoin that they will believe you? How is it that you are able to use our computers' resources without having the user give permission like through some kind of applet? It seems that your target market is not only technologically savvy web masters but also those that are already familiar with the big coin economy. To expand that, maybe you can enlarge the potential base of webmasters, but have to first convince them the size of the big coin economy. So the introduction to bit coin at the bottom seems. Some users may require more and it could be helpful if you talked about the total size the market as well as its growth rate. Something along those lines.

Clean, concise, good question to start.

I'd divulge a bunch more though, so people can learn a ton more about your offering.

As far as feedback, are you looking to get feedback from visitors of your site? If so, a tiny link at the bottom of the page could work. Other than that, asking folks on Warrior, doing split testing and tweaking things here and there should work nicely.

So far, so good, Keep up the great work.

The site looks great, but I want to know more about it first. Maybe a Q and A section. Affliates would be good for this site, look into that maybe through Clickbank. But I am wanting to know more about this please PM me. Hope this helps.

I agree with agelmanager, a Q&A section will be good. not everybody has the time and patience to watch short clips explaining what bit coins are. The also depends on your crowd.

ok - i have added some more information on how it fits together, and an infographic that explains a bit more. i am working on an income booster calculator. basically the calculator shows how many hashes you can complete in a given period of time based on your traffic. so you can do years worth of computation in a few hours if you have the traffic volume. does this make sense?

it seems like my biggest challenge is knowing where my implicit contextual knowledge stops and starts so that i can clearly communicate the right information - at the right level - to those who are on the site.

I think even Google doesn't have the kind of traffic that would yield a significant amount of Bitcoin from this idea. I mean the mining market is flooded with highly specialized hardware; consumer grade laptop CPU/GPU's come nowhere close. Maybe you can get a few "bit cents" per month, but is it worth possibly offending your customers when they find out that your site is running malware (yeah, that's how I see this) in their web browser?

i don't know where to go or ask for feedback or suggestions on what to read, watch and where to learn how to improve my site.
I could be wrong with my previous assessment; if you want the opinion of experts, ask in #bitcoin-assets on irc.freenode.net. It's a chat room filled with the best and brightest in the "world of Bitcoin."
