Thousands of affiliate program, but..

It would be nice if there was a place where I could query affiliate products both info and physical. I spend hours searching for things I want to promote to my lists that I would like to short cut.

For example, when does the program admin payout? What is the commision %? Is there a back end offer? Are the commissions recurring? How long before the cookie expires? What is the refund rate? How many tiers are there? Advertiser/Publisher Review available? Are affiliate tools available? On and on.

I'd like to combine all of the good things about commission junction, AssociatePrograms, Shareasale, Commision Junction, Amazon, Affiliate Network and a host of others.

Who has a better idea? Am I barking up the wrong tree here?

    That is a good idea.

Would need a lot of effort to build and maintain it.

The most important pieces of information are:
does the product convert, what is the refund rate, is the product really good.

Those things are not easy to get but those are the things that really matter.
I promote or better test a lot of affiliate programs but only a very small percentage
    would be worth mentioning.

Anytime I am thinking of a CPA product I run over to OfferVault. It is pretty bare bones for the complexities I seek but at least it is sort of a grand round up of where I can find access.

And yes, as long as I am wishing for a program portal I would add "conversion rate" to my wish list. Getting traffic is almost always the least of my worries but conversions, ah! there is the challenge. All my hard work can go up in smoke pronto

unfortunately there is no short cut to doing your own research. You have to find out all these information yourself.

I agree with hpgoodboy: "Would need a lot of effort to build and maintain it." But it could be a great niche and informational type site. If you could get traffic to it, you could also monetize it with your own links.

    Something to think about.

Believe it or not, there are some sites out there that actually do this. They tell you how much commissions you get paid, which programs pay residual, etc.

I feel you. I know I have spent hundreds of hours looking and debating which Program is good and which ones may not be a good fit for my List. It can be very overwhelming.

And then the fact you find a good program but in a year the Sales Letter will be outdated so you have to possibly look for another Program to substitute it.

It is tough. A heck of a lot of work.

That is a good thing because it keeps a lot of people out of IM and Affiliate Marketing

Btw, I really have been cutting my headaches in half utilizing Warrior Plus. It is a good atmosphere with plenty of potential

Haven't seen many Warrior Plus with a high enough commission to spark my interest. It seems I have to work harder for a $30-$40 product than I do for a $100.

Sounds like there would be a pretty big market for this and I think it's totally doable. The question is when will someone create it.

Thanks folks. I was not looking to build a site to do all that. Most of you know exactly what I was talking about. Hard work and testing. If I could just cut my research and testing by 20%, that would be worth paying for.....so you all keep your eyeballs open and let me know if you see something as I described.

That's an excellent idea, but there are similar forums (outside of this forum) and the amount of spam there is just too much. And its bound to happen because small time product owner want to entice people into joining their programs - so yes its a LOT of work.

I ran over there and had a look. Looks interesting, if incomplete. I clicked on the "Forum" link in the top menu and was told none exists.

I did see some feedback or testimonials in a couple of the networks I clicked on. So, that was nice.

I think this site could ramp it up as a membership site if there were some actual working recommendations and campaign details. Brokers know a heck of lot about what's hot and converting.

I think it depends on you how you can start the campaign and how can you promote your listings using many available affiliate programs.
