Help me to refine my Idea to test my product

So this is my idea:

1) I make a squeeze page with all the informations about the product, call to action etc...
2) I make a buy button

*** Untill here exactly is as if the product existed already ***

3) When the visitor click on the buy button he is redirected into a page saying that the " sales are suspended for now because of too much demand and that he can put his mail to be sure that i'll keep a product for him as soon as the sales will re begin ".

What do you think about it ?

I dont wanna make a free product like " put your mail to receive it " because this way i couldnt test if people are ok with the price.

You'd be selling a product that doesn't exist. That's called fraud.

If you want to test prices, create your product then either offer different price points to separate segments of your market, or experiment with changing the price after a period of time.

Technically not, because he is not selling it, visitor is not making a purchase. But I agree this is not a good way to test a price. Putting a Buy Now button on a product sales page and then telling the visitor that the product can't be purchased at the moment is kinda frustrating.

If your product solves people's problems, then all you need is to market it.

I don't think that this is a good idea.

Why do you have to treat your visitors just as email "typers" and product buyers? They are human beings and treat them like that if you want long term business. If you send them to a blank page right at the first instance its like telling them "I just want your money, nothing else". And, that my friend isn't going to get you anywhere.

Also, people might complain to your autoresponder company and that'd be the end of it.

Build a relationship with your list and the money will come to you.

Get a PLR product similar to the one you are going to sell and test your offer with that. At least you will know if there is a demand for your product and the price it might sell at.
