I need to vent a little bit?

Phew. Yeah, so I'm really excited about my online business. My website is live, I've done a lot of SEO, begun Social Media marketing, I do eBay listings, accept credit cards directly on the website, have decent vendors for my products, but my profit margins and sales are nowhere near where I'd like them to be.

I've only had this business for two weeks. So I still have faith that I just need to keep working at it and be patient. But one disappointing thing is that I never really realized how much of a chunk eBay takes out of your sale. So I am using a nifty calculator to work that out. But I still want to give my customer a good deal and drive more traffic. I need to drive more traffic to my website, and I feel heavily reluctant to pay anybody to do so, accept AdWords, etc. So I'm working on that too.

I'm having one of the items that I drop-ship sent directly to my house, so I can take photos of it personally, and try to give it some appeal. I'm going to use this one product and see if I can sell the hell out of it, and then perhaps apply that method to others.

I would love any input. I think this business could do well, but I just wanna make sure I'm not leaving anything important out from the get-go. I hope this is posted in the right place.
