I've been talking to another marketer about joining forces in a joint venture. I would create the products, bring my medium size list, and website to the deal. He would be in charge of all the actual marketing; my site, social media, etc.

My question is, how do I make sure that the profits are split evenly? If all the sales go into one or the other's paypal account, what then? Should there be a time frame when half the money that goes into the account is sent to the other partner?

Is there something else I should be considering?

You can use networks like JVZoo to do the split.

There are many affiliate platforms that offer this, even white label ones that you can sign up for and pay a fee. It all depends on what kind of product you want to launch. I would check out the ones mentioned above if you are just starting out. Also Clickbank does something to this effect. Research them all and see which one is the best fit.

If you are forming such a JV with a person for the first time, using a network as other warriors suggested above is the way to go. If you will not be controlling the network account, make sure that the JV is set up properly so that you will get your share with no issues. Clearly defining all the terms between you and your JV partner before putting your project into action is vital. Do not assume things and speak everything in detail before starting. Having some sort of email/chat history log about your agreed terms is also important so that you can refer to them later if needed.

Also important is how you will handle the customer list. Who will control it? How will you use it?

    Good luck with your project
