    Hi Chris,

You have found the one place where you can find plenty of good, free advice. Take your time, read the rules, read threads you are interested in and ask questions. Try not to suffer from information overload because it's very easy to do. Go at your own pace and learn before you spend.

Welcome Chris. There's plenty of advice in this forum, id go through the various sub sections and read the stickys and read over the mods posts too.

after that id recommend a War Room membership before you go buy any WSOs

but ask away and don't be scared to take action whilst you're learning, its the best way rather than believe everything you read

    Welcome Chris,

The best thing I can say is for you to browse the forum for topics and niches that interest you, and then focus in on one particular thing. Learn everything you can about it and of course ask questions if you come across anything you're not sure about.

    All the best

Almost any method you come across or purchase will work if you work at it. As long as you know it is legal and ethical and you think it will work, you should be able to make it work.
However, you just need to pick one or two methods and concentrate on them. If you keep changing what you do every month you won't succed.

Welcome aboard Chris.. my advice: put your wallet away and make use of the All in One threads until you figure out who's selling legit info in the wso board (most of them are, to be fair). Good luck.

Hi there, Firstly welcome to the family and hopefully the start to your new life. Here is my 2 cent...

      1) Ask yourself why are doing this and what do you want to get out of this? Better lifestyle? Build a better future? Clear some debts? Whatever your reason your doing this you, my advice is to write it down somewhere because when you come across some difficult days and feel like you want to give up. THIS WILL HAPPEN!!! Then all you got to do is look at your list of reasons to motivate yourself. It also helps to talk to someone who is successful and maybe bounce some ideas off them.

2 Find a niche that you have some interest in but made sure isn't saturated. Its probably a good idea to spend a few hours doing some research on what hot and what's not. I personally tend to find 3 niches that I have an interest in and list all the pro and cons of each one.

      3) Be prepared to invest in your future. You say you don't have any capital at the moment and that fine. It will take longer to succeed however it isn't impossible. My advice would to look at your skill set, see what you can do and maybe offer your services for some cash. PM if you want more advice on that I got a few ideas.

      4) Once you have some capital behind you, then look to reinvest in the correct tools to help you achieve your goal. You will need the following if you decide to go down affiliate marketing route...

Autoresponder - Aweber is many people favourite including mine.
Domain and Hosting - Go Daddy and HostGator is the one's I use.
Wordpress - If you don't know any coding then I highly recommend using this.

Purchase a copy of Newbie to Millionaire Ebook. Fantastic read and I learnt a lot of handy tips from that.

      5) Look to build your LIST. There many ways you can do it but I won't lie to you, it can be the most frustrating part of the job. However when you do start to build up your prospects(LIST) It's very important to remember that you need to look after them, give them value and because of that, your list of prospects will always look after you.

      6) Look for related product to do with your niche but remember it doesn't have to be exactly related to that niche. For example if your niche has something about writing movie scripts then look maybe you can have How to write a EBOOK affiliate product or How to design a great book cover for EBOOK. There are so many thing on places like clickbank that worth exploring.

      7) Don't rest on your laurels. Stake out your competition, ask yourself every day "how can I improve on what I got?" I good entrepreneur is someone is doesn't follow and set trends, they are always looking out for the next big thing.

      8) LAST ONE..... DON'T BE AFRAID TO MAKE MISTAKES!!!

Hope this helps you. I be glad to answer anymore questions that anyone may have. Please just PM.

      Owen

Hi and welcome to the forum! It's a huge place filled with lots of info. Try not to get trigger happy buying up all the WSOs. Stay focused on one thing and soak up the free information that's readily available here. A good investment, when you're ready, is the War Room

    Welcome Chris!

There is a lot of information out there. The trick to making things work, particularly with affiliate marketing is to try it a LOT of times. I mean 50-100 before you give up. I might sound insane but I can almost guarantee that you'll find success if you were to take that approach with many affiliate marketing related methods. Especially if you're completely new!

I would definitely like to say, don't rush into anything. This forum is a great place to get all sorts of information, but at the same time, there is A LOT of information on here. So it's easy to get lost in it. Look around, ask questions and get an idea on what marketing method you would like to approach.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations.

The best advice I can give is to commit yourself to learning...

I built my first website in Jr. High and I've been obsessed ever since haha.

If you REALLY want to succeed in the world of blogging / technology / marketing...

The best thing you can have is a mind MADE UP to continue learning, and evolving.

(Sorry if this wasn't exactly what you were looking for, but it's my honest advice)...

Stay cool, and see you around

Once you make up your mind on a niche or system to use, just get started. You don't have to know everything before taking action. Remember, you'll learn more by "doing". It's ok to make mistakes along the way. If you do make a mistake, correct it, get back on course. Don't get distracted by every new course that promises riches at the push of a button. You can do your research here on the forum and learn what you need, but it's up to you to take action.

    Some great advice on here Chris;
I am very to to the internet marketing world myself, but I was lucky enough to find Dean Holland's Quick Start challenge last month and this got me started quickly. Although it is early days yet I am really pleased with just getting my blog up and running and getting my head around some of the "techie" stuff.
I have been reading lots of material on this forum and I have really picked up lots of great information.
My tip would be to take your time reading and building your knowledge, but get to know some of the more experienced contributors on this forum and get whatever help & guidance you can to get something started as soon as you can.
The main reason I delayed getting my blog up and running was that I thought it had to be perfect before it was launched - and it certainly isn't, but it is out there and I have learned a lot along the way.
    best of luck.

You're certainly in the right place. If you can't find what you're looking for here, it probably doesn't exist.

Focus on one thing and do it well. The problem with internet marketing is there are so many aspects to it that it's easy to get distracted.

My best advice is not to buy product after product. That will only make you more confused and disillusioned. If you have to invest in anything, I would suggest two things: a membership to the War Room (everything you would ever need) and/or a coach or mentor who is where you want to be and who can keep you accountable.

Good luck in your IM journey. In this forum, you're only a question away.

Welcome to the forum. Your definitely going to like it here. There is plenty of free information to thrive on and I can almost guarantee that you'll make some kind of progress as an internet marketer. Like the people above said though, make sure to take it one step at a time. It's very easy to get mixed up in all the different ways of making money, and quitting with no earnings.
