Default Attention New Warriors: Which is better...ecourse or ebook?

Hey New Warriors,

Welcome to WF! I have a question for you all. This post should get you involved in the conversation here.

I would like to know if you'd rather have a set of info delivered...

1. In an ebook form all at once.

OR

2. Delivered in a series of lessons over a set of 5-7 days.

Which is easier for you?

Cheers,

Brad Spencer

PS- Mind you this is all F.REE

I prefer an ebook, but I believe there is more perceived value in an ecourse and you can probably charge more, depends on how it's packaged.

I never sign up for ecourses - if I sign up for info I want it now, so I would personally prefer an ebook. When it comes to digital info (whether it's free or paid) I think most people expect to get it immediately.

I like ebooks as the info arrives quickly. All the ecouses I have signed up for, I end up not completing as I lost interest the longer it takes to get the complete info.
Just my personal opinion.

Thanks for everyone's responses...it's interesting that most people say ebook.

I guess in today's society about being bogged down with information and emails that they don't have the time to follow up on your ecourse emails.

Interesting...

Cheers and Thanks!

Depending on the market you're hitting, ebook "value" in the eyes of your prospects might be low. Picking the same content and transforming it into an ecourse, not necessarily delivered by mail but by "membership" site might help.

I personally prefer to read long articles that follow a logical sequence and are delivered in html format. There's something about reading from pdf's that I really dislike.

I like both. Ebook is good as you can read is ASAP and satisfy the hunger for new knowledge. Ecourse is good too. Problogger.com's 30 days to better blog challenge is a good example, it had a lot of people start blogging and/or improving curent blogs. It caused a lot of action. Ebook will not necessary do that.
So combain both !!!

Starting a niche site network. Time to make some impact! 5 done, 2 more in the works..

If you put fifteen other offers on the free ebook download page, I'm going to be mad.

Put one in the email and two on the download page for each of five lessons, and I'm perfectly happy. Indeed, you'll probably convert better.

I also vote both... Most people will convert more quickly to something simple. An ebook is straightforward and most people know what to expect. An ecourse will be better suited as an upsell or OTO, in my opinion...

It depends on the type of information:

1. If I need to master some kind of complex skill (ex: running membership site, PPC marketing, etc.), I would prefer a step-by-step e-course.

2. If I need fast information about a certain subject (ex: how to write an eye-catching articles), I will be happy to download a report and read the entire information immediately.

I hope my answer helps...

Good luck!
Bill

Ebooks are the best.

They allow you to go at your own pace.

Looking for the way!

Quick Question: For those that prefer ebooks over ecourse...is this b/c you get too many emails?

Cheers,

Brad Spencer

PS- Thanks so much for taking time to answer this thread. I sincerely appreciate it
