First post and question about conduit method

Hey fellow Warriors,

The name is Brandon and it's my first post. I'll sum up my intro by saying that I started back in 2007 in IM (baseball equipment review - affiliate/adsense site). Made a few bucks, got slapped by Google, gave up for a while, started a blog about jazz guitar (I'm a decent guitarist and am learning jazz), motivation dying for that project due to lack of income/forseeable potential. Looking to get into a different market, start fresh altogether.

ANYWAY, I'm searching for the simplest of simple ways for a newbie to get started earning some income. I have around $50/month to play with, which I know is basically nothing, so I know I'll have to put in some work up front.

I joined the War Room last night, and wow! Lot's of goodies in there. I do see however that some of the best threads in there are a bit dated. For example, the conduit method post (the one I'm considering trying now) started back in 2008.

I was just wondering what everyone's thoughts are about this in the 2014. Is this method worth a shot now?

I know I'm asking a vague question and it depends on a hundred different variables (market, competition, etc), but I guess the main thing I'm getting at is...if you were to a newbie and you could choose to invest your time and effort into making money online starting in 2014, would you recommend this method?

If not, which method or model would be best. I don't see myself being able to write free reports on killer abs, or lower back pain. If I did, I'd have to outsource it, and there's that money thing that I'm a little short of now for that

This conduit method seems like a way to get into the game, earn a few bucks, then build up a more sustainable model like building a list and marketing to it.

Thanks guys/gals, I appreciate any help anyone can throw my way. Glad to be here. Feels like I've finally found a home here

BTW If my post is in the wrong forum I apoligize, I'm still learning the ropes around here.

Yes the Chris Rempel method is what I'm referring to. The post that started back in 2008 in the War Room, and has a gazillion replies. Sorry if I wasn't more specific about that.

Thank you guys. I have to admit I'm a bit torn. I don't know which route to go.

I don't know whether to try and build a site that intercepts people before purchases and provide reviews or "reports" as Chris says in the post.

    OR.......

Try and build a blog, then a list via squeeze pages, promote products via auto-responder, etc.

I feel they are two different models, and I don't know which would be best for me. See here's the thing.

I'm kind of an idiot when it comes to picking a niche, and building content for it. I'm not an expert, or don't have any credentials in anything that really sells hot on the web (weight loss, internet marketing, health problems, etc).

And I don't really have the $$ to hire writers to make content for me. But I do feel like I could report all the features of products like explained in the "conduit method."

Is there a flaw in my thinking here? I feel a bit stuck. I feel like it's the creation of the content that gets me hung up every time and prevents me from making it anywhere in the IM world. Just thinking out loud.

Thanks for anymore thoughts and help.

Hey BrandonLB, I am in a very similar situation in that I am a newbie, but without prior attempt at IM. I have been reading alot in the WF and have decided to invest in a mentor/consultant to get on the right track. I find it helps me focus where it is most important and allows me to learn and ask questions like you.

I will admit, the general consensus is that List building is very essential in internet marketing and improved potential profit.

Okay, I've been thinking and I think I'm going to go with the list-building/autoresponder/affiliate product promotion route.

Now I just need to pick my niche, and figure out how I'm going to get my content created.

Thanks guys for the input and the inspiration. Now back to reading and learning. I'm interested in a mentor. Need to check that out too. Thank you!

I was initially going to say go with whatever you find more fun and interesting, but it doesn't really matter as long as you stick with it and keep at it. You'll learn what works and doesn't work (you've already learned what you don't want to do, lol) so just keep trying. Eventually you'll make a breakthrough.

You can get PLR content for your optin bait and OTO. Then promote affiliate products on the back end.

You said you had $50 per month to spend. If I were you then I would just use that money for a membership at Wealthy Affiliate or some other site for a complete learning experience.

Building a list should be one of your goals, op. Create an ethical bribe or free product to give away and build a relationship with your list.
