Light box or Pop up, which worked better for you?

Hey, thanks for checking this out. Which one have you found works better for you - Light box or Pop up?
I've always preferred the light box (which darkens the background).

Wondering how your results may have differed between the two?

      Exactly, for email list opt-in's.
      The light box I'm using dims the background a bit, not very much though.

    I like light boxes and they have worked best for me.

    It's really going to be different in every market though.

    You'll need to test and see what works best for you. Only way to do it.

      Only if you have two pages that both get traffic. Then you can have them both up, and switch them after so many days. Not sure if there's a way to alternate them on the same page automatically

      My personal thoughts as a visitor on a site, has always been that the shadowed background made the opt in feel like it was a more important requirement. Where as a straight pop-over felt more optional.

      I never ran split test numbers though, myself.
