Having issues with HTML editing in Wordpress

Hi,

I'm using Ultimate Tinymce for my dashboard and it was working fine.

Now, many of my buttons, especially my HTML editor are gone. They do show what should be there when I mouse over, but if I hit the HTML button that way, it comes up empty and I can't edit.

I've disabled all the plugins - same issue. I've reverted to another WP theme. Still the same.

Have any of you guys had this happen and what would you recommend?

I've submitted a support ticket to Tinymce, but would love to get my pages up tonight.

    Have you tried a different browser? Sometimes your browser (or an addon) might cause problems.

      No, I haven't. I'll give that a shot. Just weird that I have used the same computer and Chrome for quite some time with no issues, but not it's all gone. I'll see what happens!

    If something like this ever happens the first thing I would always do is clear your browser cache and history and if that doesn't work, try a different browser. Many problems like this can be fixed with a simple browser change.

    It seems to me you have done the necessary things to address that issue. Is the wp installed in its latest version?

    By the way, what is your hosting provider? Try to contact them about your issue and perhaps some of their clients had experienced similar in the past. They might have the solution.

    How old is your site? Lots of contents are already there? You may not want to hear this but if you still can't fix it then I guess you may consider reinstalling wordpress. Try to limit the number of plugins to be installed. Usually, they are the ones that cause the problem especially with compatibility issues.

      Hi Louie,

      Yes, I've updated WP. I use Hostgator - I'll contact them to see if they've heard anything.

      I COULD reinstall it - unfortunately I'm not a big WP person and was lucky to get help the first time (I'm an html girl!) so really don't want to do that if I can help it. I don't have many plugins, and tried disabling all of them first but haven't tried uninstalling them.

    Try hitting CTRL+F5 (PC) - it should fix problems if those problems are caused by cache and etc.
