Do you know what happens with Paypal when people pay
for a product with eCheck, does Paypal sends the purchaser
to the download page or what happens?

What we do on phpLD is we connect to the paypal API, and we don't allow the dowload to take place until after the eCheck has cleared. This is really something that has to be done using the paypal api to be effective. In the past we took people straight to the download page, only to find that people would stop the checks. I hope this answers your question.

They take the customer to your download page and send you an email telling you not to deliver the product until the eCheck has cleared.

      Gee, thanks PayPal.

That said, I'm happy for that to happen because I have the facility to disable the product if the eCheck doesn't clear so I send the product anyway.

This, I believe, offers the customer the best experience because they can buy using an eCheck, get the product immediately and we're protected if the thing doesn't clear.

      Cheers,

Yes, login to your paypal account, and then click on Payment Recieving Preferences and check the box that says this next to it:
"Pay with eCheck or German bank transfer for all website payments except eBay. NOTE: You may not block eCheck payments on eBay."
