Launching my First Website: Need Help & Suggestions

After spending years browsing through other's websites and watching them making money, I have decided to make one for myself. I am currently building a website where I'll be offering my own services and affiliate products regarding Search Engine Optimization and Backlinks.

At first I'll be offering only services and after some time I'll try promoting other's products. I just needed to ask if it's okay to do Automated Backlinking.

With the help of SEnuke, Bookmarking Demon, SB Bomber it's possible to build a lot of backlinks. But I'm not sure whether they'll sustain enough in the long term. I have heard very good reviews about such Tools especially SEnuke.

But I want my customers to be satisfied and want to really help them rank their web pages. I don't want them to get penalized or slapped from Google.

So My questions in a Nutshell :-

1) Is it OK to go with such Softwares?

2) Will they help in the long term and guarantee sustained rankings?

I want to quote this from the SEnuke page :-

SEnuke XCr is fully compatible with Google's latest changes! No matter what your niche is: dog training, weight loss or any of the other thousands of niches, we are getting success reports on a weekly basis saying their rankings haven't been hurt one bit by the latest Google changes. A lot of them even say their rankings have improved!

Due to the huge number of sites available in SEnuke XCr and the ability to add your own sites, our customers are immune from any Google slaps. Those in trouble are the ones who rely on one type of link to boost their sites, or post junk content on their site.
Thanks for your Time.

I would ask SEnuke for some evidence of their success if you are unsure.

Personally I would steer clear of anything automated - long term you'll probably get found out.

Well, as long as you use it right, it will be fine.

You should not trust every words of sales pitch, since many things might happen in the future. Those software still works today, but not for direct linking, so it will be safe to say if you use it wisely, sure it is OK.

    2) Will they help in the long term and guarantee sustained rankings?
No guarantee...as you can see before the penguin update, those software can give a remarkable results, but now? We should do a twist on how using it to make it work.

So, I guess we just need to evolve to what happen next and adapt, thats what will guarantee your long term result.

I suggest you do not use these software because you have no experience of using , i recommend you try paid marketing for better results.

As a general principle, it's not a good idea to ask others to pay for products or services if you haven't tried them yourself, or are unsure whether they work. In your case, you might even end up harming your customers, simply because you don't know enough about the services you intend to offer.

You'll come across much better to potential buyers if you believe in what you're selling.

Don't go anywhere near a client's website with SENuke or the like. You stand a far greater chance of RUINING their rankings than helping them, especially if you don't know what you are doing.

I found this whole area of automated backlinking intimidating at first. The key is to learn about these products in detail, how they work, and what the best settings and practices are. And don't do anything until you're 100% sure of what you're doing!

There are plenty of Youtube videos on all of these software programs, I would recommend diving into some of those.

Also, for Tier 1 content (i.e. stuff linking directly to your money site), you can make all that stuff completely manually generated, to be on the safe side.

In business what you need to do is to talk with people, not with bots.

So what's the point of building 10K links from one pages sites that no-one visits?

Imagine a world where there are just computers, no humans. What will you do with all these links?

You need real people to buy your stuff, then you will make money.

So spend your time by building relationships.

If you are in SEO, then do content optimization, article writing, relation building with other webmasters, do branding.

And for products, recommend products that will help people cut down the time for doing these activities. Like hubspot app, moz app, raven tools etc -not just some link pushing bot!

      Idealistic, but not quite correct.

I have seen (not "done") my share of sites that rank high in Google, get traffic, provide little value, but make lot of money.

There are more than a few examples of churn and burn sites that do all this to the extreme and make whatever money possible within a short time before they are penalized.

The secret lies in the user, not in the tool.

Since you have "expressed a desire" of using the tool, and haven't used them so far - DO NOT use them on a client site, or your own money making site.

Automated backlinking often moves over to the "dark side" and you may never know what hit you.

You could however find use for tools that you mentioned, or tools like Scrapebox to find out blogs, forums, etc. that provide a good value to your links. After digging them out go to those sites, leave a comment with something useful.

You could also use the same means to initiate discussions on your topics in the forums. Nudge people towards your client site.

These methods take way more time, but build up a positive reputation over the long run.

While doing all of this, you can always create a site on the side and try out automated backlinking methods. Check what works, what doesn't, repeat those experiments, and use those on client sites once you have built up enough confidence.
