Most of the contents are not country targeted. Those contents are suitable globally.

I'm asking because you can't catch flies with vinegar. I reckon from your vague answer that you probably get your content from second tier writers from non US countries. If that's the case, then you have half the solution to your problem.

          Yeah, that's right.

Okay, think of our forum, how can we get writers from US?

Well, this forum is a great place to start. Tons of great writers in the warrior for hire section.

Is your main traffic source paid or organic?

If it's organic you can tell Google that your website targets the United States within webmaster tools. I'm not sure but doing this might stop you from getting the Asian visitors.

                Organic, not paid.

Where should I focus on in webmaster tools?

You might be getting traffic from Asia due to a number of factors such as where you are actively promoting your site or participating in, social media e.t.c.

To get U.S traffic you need to rank on Google.com or use any PPC like Adword, Facebook e.t.c who allow you to choose your target audience country.

Build quality websites in proper English and you will get US visitors. All my English websites that I built up to now had US as the #1 country in traffic stats and I didn't do anything special to "target" US.

maybe shift your server to US if your hosting company does have servers there?

        Shifting servers won't help ...

Fastest way is to buy US target traffic and feed them with high quality content.

Short time investment = Long term relation

Yeah, I'm thinking of moderating bad English.

I find it hard to believe that Google thinks an article written in bad English is more appropriate to show to Asians. I'm not saying you're wrong but this makes no sense to me.

To the OP: Are these Asians English speaking?

I didn't exactly mean that but anyway maybe we can make a better analysis if we see the website.

  • There are multiple ways. With pay traffic you can do geo-targeting and target the US.

BUMP...I only choose TOP TLDs( .com)...I never chose a 3rd tier foreign extensions when I am surfing. In a few years, with all the new extensions, this will probably change.

The visitors you have from Asia, are they coming from organic search?
If you are using US severs
and .com or any other international TLD
and your site is written in English (no matter how good or bad. It is important for conversion, not traffic)
then you probably should have US readers

My guess is why you having traffic from Asia:
    - the competition in Asia is less and your topic is something they are looking for
    - This is not organic traffic, but your writers and other people visiting your site who are not potential customers

Go to forums with a large US audience and post often. For instance, some sites have 90% US audience, and some sites have only 5% US audience. This chart shows the percentage of tier 1 traffic for a few IM forums:
