Is anyone using these social networks to actually make a little money?

Not just using the ppc they offer either.

I just wanted to know if anyone has some good experience with social networks like these.

I know a number of people that do pretty well with facebook to promote local events.

Local events, That's not such a bad idea to start promoting my business.
