INTERNET MARKETING

Hello everyone, I just wanted to say hi and thank you. finding the warrior forum for me was like finding gold.

Now I am only a few days reading in and some of the information I am finding is truly helpful in so many aspects.

I started my journey trying to make a bit of extra cash off the internet last October it worked to a barely marginal degree but I like most went form one thing to another until I realised truly how much misinformation there is out there.

Then one day I read a book about internet, haven't stopped since.

For those of you still reading I thank you for your time, what I learned from all this reading was affiliate marketing, blogging, Kindle publishing and so much more.

like I said one thing to the next, today I do some work on Fiverr for not much and I have published a Kindle book which has had sales.

I'm now tempted at the thought of a website and have done some research so just wanted to ask, what should I be thinking about at this stage?

I ask because in all the comments everyone here is very quick off the mark and I'll bet tall odds on most of the warriors here could throw some advice my way, anything would be great

You're going to get a ton of advice on your question and will be tempted to follow a lot of paths.
First, congrats on your knowledge and achievements to this point and for taking great action.
To answer your question, I'd suggest you start thinking about a niche that you want to work in - something of interest to you, that has a market, that you either know a lot about or are interested in learning more about.

That really is the fundamental starting point. Pick a niche or area to start in, and then start looking at the myriad ways of making it work for you. Cart before horse, as they say...

Sure build a web site if you want to. Just a standard blog would be fine. You can use it to help with your Kindle sales.

Then continue reading and write another book.

I would start a blog for self promotion and to promote my Kindle Books and write many more Kindle Bbooks. Give a Kindle Book away for free to promote your other Kindle books.

  Firstly thank you all for the warm welcome. I'm getting the impression and have done a bit of reading into it, I am thinking of adopting this model for working toward let me know what you think:
  
  Niche Selected :: Sustainability, Green Living
  
  1. Make Blog on wordpress
  1.2 Get Domain Name
  1.3 Use hostgator for hosting package
  1.4 Install Wordpress to host
  
  2. Upload 3 - 5 articles a week to blog, 500 word relevant articles
  2.1 Add 3 - 5 reviews on world news niche to add more content
  2.2 Upload relevant video content 2 - 3 a week in relevance to blog to Youtube for more content
  
  3. Get all associated Social media platforms integrated
  3.1 Find management platform to minimise social media posting (Date released perhaps?)
  3.2 Target Like's, Share's, Tweets and build social media following
  
  4. Monitise site Via Affiliate marketing product placements
  4.1 Monitise website through adwords for income stream
  
  5. Invest small capital to increase Organic search placements for niche
  5.1 Fiverr gigs or warrior services to increase organic placement
  
  6. Optimise site for SEO (Here's where advice would help where possible)
  
  This is the idea for the blog, sort of a here's what I am thinking how to go about it list anything I am missing you think guys and girls let me know? thank you again for your time

  In regards of SEO it is pretty simple. Just before you press the publish button, make sure you got the plugins on wordpress like seopressor (even trial version is good) and -all in one seo package plugin.
  
  With seo pressor you can track the suggested improvements on your article in order to keep a high score without overoptimizing it (can get slapped by google )
  
  Once optimized on page you have to do off page.
  
  Creating backlinks manually or using backlinking software.
  
  This is a matter of personal integrity, morals and ethics and the warriors here will have difference of opinion.
  
  Some will go honest white hat manual backlinking, some will go blackhat way and use backlinking software, and some will have little bit of white and little bit of black resultin in grey hat techniques.
  
  Other than that, it is all I would do to optimize your blog posts and in just a month or so your article should be on top.

Before doing so I was thinking that I know some things about internet marketing, when I started reading more about the subject, here on the forum, I can say that everything turned into uaaauuu.. it is amazing how much information you can find here.
