I tried using google analytics but it insist that i put a tracking code on my webpage. I'm a website idiot and i have no idea how. I dont think it's possible also since i do not have any code on my website as it is directly fowarded to my affilate link? Could anyone help me? Thanks. |

You could either use a tracking link - there are lots of ad tracking links on the internet. Or you could set up a redirect. I usually use redirects for all my affiliate links as if an affiliate program suddenly closes or decides to change its tracking system it is much quicker to change your redirect than it is to find all the places that you have used your link. Here is how I create a PHP redirect: 1) Create a file called myaffprogram.php where myaffprogram is the name of the product or program you want to promote. 2) Copy and paste the following code into it: Code: <?php
header("Location:http://www.yourafflink.com");
exit();
?> 4) Upload the file to your host and the link will be yourdomain.com/myaffprogram.php Every time someone clicks on this it will show up in your stats. Cheers, Suzanne |

Anyway you can go to LinkCounter.com - Professional Link Tracking and see if that's what you need. It has a one week free trial. Hope this helps. | |

I think Suzanne's answer is the best and easiest, but just in case, this service was created just for that reason: Tracking202 Gateway They give you a special link and you'd use that link in the ad/article URL instead of the merchant's, and they take care of all the tracking and redirecting. They have some video tutorials on the site so you can check it out and see if it's too complicated for you. |

Just a quick question. So I have me.com. I want people to go to me.com/product.php for my redirect. So if a normal person were to hover over the link, they will see me.com/product.php as if it was a normal page on my me.com site? Also, will that link draw google's attention? So can I add in meta tags, or whatever? (I'm a little over my head with this part of SEO, I'm just asking so I can build up to that later) Can I add that to my google analytics profile page so I can track it? Thanks! |
