I've always said that for anyone to succeed with a online business they need...

- proven online business model

- can follow directions

- common sense

- decent work ethic

In your opinion, what does a decent work ethic mean to you in relation to conducting online business??

Hope This Helps!!

I think more than anything else you need to be honest with others, and above all honest with yourself. Next, you need a positive attitude that is evident, and shows people you have a strong desire to do well. Then persistence. You can't give up easily. You have to be willing to set goals and follow through with them.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

      I hear you!

The proper attitude and persistence ( because of testing ) is another prerequisite to success with an online business.

When I think of a work ethic as it relates to online business, it simply means...

... doing what ever it takes to test a project and if things go well, doing what's necessary to get it to where it's a steady and predictable income stream.

Lots of people will work hard for someone else but won't work hard & smart for themselves.

Lots of people want free traffic but that normally involves doing some actual work to get the free traffic.

Lots of people don't want to do the work necessary but someone's got to do the nitpick work to get anything working properly.

Ps. I think the word "work" has turned off a lot of people from reading this thread.

I have really bad associations with the word 'work' so in stead I call it 'being productive'.

Work ethic usually just means to work hard and do what it takes to get the job done.

With today's resources, tools & services we can work smart and accomplish 10x as much as someone that only wants to work hard.

Finishing what we started and not getting distracted all the time, is a good example of a smart work ethic.

A good work ethic to me means putting in a minimum 8 hour work day and getting good things accomplished in that day.

A good work ethic is essential if you are ever going to make a sustainable income online. Ironically though the least time you have to complete a task sometimes the more likely you are to complete it.

    For example.

If you are still a full-time employee then the amount of hours you can work on your online business is drastically reduced. Aren't you then more inclined to 'go the extra yard' to finish what you started - sometimes until 3 a.m. in the morning. Ring any bells guys?
