A suggestion is to check more than 1 source. I've had articles done for me on odesk and freelance, but not fiverr.

Quality varies, even from the same platform. Ask for samples of their work.

Fiverr is good, because I am a provider there. But you have to choose really well. Eric above is correct, there are many other platforms to choose from, the key is in setting your parameters properly before hiring someone to write for you.

What's your budget? What kind of articles do you need? What quality are you looking for? Where do you intend to put the articles? These are but some of the questions that you have to ask yourself.

But yes, Fiverr has some good providers.

I'd go with writers from SEOClerks. I've had great results and I've actually had very poor results from people on Fiverr. That said, I've tried a few out of thousands.

I've had good luck with all the gigs I've bought on Fivver. But I've never bought an article. Like everything else, you just need to pick the right seller. Find one with all positive feedback and who is a native English speaker.

Or you can PM me and I'll help you out.

    (Sorry for the shameless plug.)

Ask for samples. Also, ask for SPECIALISTS. You have a high chance of getting content you'll be happy with if you buy it from a writer that specializes in your niche or topic.

Fiverr isn't great. If you were to think of the system there such as how much a person gets work at one time you end up paying for content written by someone for $1. Freelance sites on the other hand are more or less great, there are some writers there who would deal make the research and write badly for a $1 and I've seen a large amount of writers for $5. But remember, they're not exactly the best, you get what you pay for.

In regards to specialty, try and avoid outsourcing writers for extreme specialties. I've found that cheap writers are generally people who you have to instruct and won't be able to pull off what you want. They also tend to be unresponsive even though I'm already paying a good amount for easy work (collaboration with me)

That would make a great wso... The danger would be if someone just threw together a bunch of links to make a few quid, but if they were genuinely recommended gigs, I would definitely buy it!

Fiverr can be good, but you have to find a good supplier. A lot of Fiverr is three cut'n'pasted paragraphs fed through a spinner. Or people writing English articles when it is their second language. Fair do's, when they are only earning $4 from it you can't expect them to spend an hour researching and writing.

Shameless plug: I have an article writing gig on Fiverr. It won't be there long as I want/deserve to be earning more than $4 for original, engaging and articulate articles. I have only just posted it on a new account, feel free to take advantage whilst it lasts...

Fiverr is a good place to go for other thinks (i.e graphics, linkbuilding, account creation for web2.0 etc...) to save you time, but in my opinion is not good place for article writing, "iNeedarticle", "iWriter" could be a good sources, also in Warrior Forrum you can also find very good writer.

I'm against the grain here but I'll say YES you can get awesome content from Fiverr.

I've personally written a boatload of gigs there and charged basically PENNIES for outstanding content haha.

(I know the gurus are going to yell at me for selling myself for so dirt cheap; but I was young and needed the money).

Also, if you're a good writer there, and people "catch the scent" of your superior content... Man people will literally *HUNT YOU DOWN* and pay you more money...

    Just my $.02.

(A fair warning though, naturally, a high percentage of the writers won't be very elite. But, there's always a few diamonds in the ruff, and THOSE are the ones worth a bundle of golden statues).

    Just my $.02.

Yes, it is a good place for article writer. but its rate is only $5.0 that mean every gigs you will sell at 5 Dollar. I think it is cheap rate. therefor, you should start earning by a small amount, then when you will have some more experience, you will earn more & more.

Fiverr is great. There are only a few writers there, however, who are really good. Only a few of them an churn out respectable content. I started off on Fiverr before heading to iWriter a long time ago, and I still occasionally write on iWriter because of the great people who are still requesting from me. Yes, iWriter gets sometimes a bad rep, but there are many talented writers on there, just like there are on Fiverr. Even on sites like Freelancer or other sites. There will be both good and bad. Determine your budget, see what works for you, and get those articles done professionally!

You can find a lot of benefits using Fiverr but that just depends on your service provider that is going to do a work for you for his 5$ only

To be honest ! if i would be an article writer than i would not sell my content at such a low price becuase i know my content is great and i can sell it on freelancer etc...

    So, Fiverr not recommended !

If $5.00 is your budget for an article, then Fiverr is the place to get it done. If you have more money and actually want high quality for the article, then you should go elsewhere. On Fiverr, you need to check out the person's rating and experience with other buyers. Did previous buyers leave positive feedback about the articles written? If there seems to be enough credible reviews about this writer, then give them a try as you are not losing much money.

Sure, there are lots of good article, sales writer, proofreaders and more on Fiverr.

I have tried it in the past and was very satisfied with the result.

In this case, what you should look out for are:

    1. The writer should be from U.S, U.K, Australia or any developed world with English as their primary language.

    2. Communicate with the prospective writer on the conversation page and read their responses carefully for typo or grammatical errors.

    3. Check reviews.

    4. Place your order.

In most cases, they would charge you more than the usual $5 based on what you want.

If you choose Odesk to recruit talent, do make sure to check the "hidden" applications while shortlisting candidates. Off late, the site decided to automate the "application shortlisting" process to make life easier for clients. No price for guessing that it proved to be a disastrous move - both for clients and contractors. The algorithm used is just terrible. There are many instances when applications from even the most suitable candidates land up in the junk/hidden folder. If you manually "unhide" them, the same algorithm moves them to the top of the list.

Odesk should know that there is a good reason why postmen aren't allowed to decide on the fate of a job-application on behalf of the employer.

About Fiverr - it is a good place if you are picky with your choices (but then, the same can be said about Elance, Odesk and other similar platforms). I agree with masterqif - Warrior for Hire can be a great place to spot top talents. At least, that's what my experience on the site as a long time lurker has taught me.

I've bought some great articles on Fiverr ... I mean some seriously decent stuff (there's one gig I used to buy where I would get 2, 500 word quality articles for $5 - no jokes. I soon told the guy he should up his price, and stopped using it as I felt so bad).

I use Fiver quite a bit for articles. I use these articles for SEO. You will find both terrible and excellent writers.

Make sure that you list exactly what you are looking for and that it needs to be original. Also, ask for a copy of an article that they have written before placing an order. Finally, get an agreement on the time frame for receiving your article.

If what you receive does not meet your expectation, communicate this privately to the seller before leaving feedback. They rely on good feedback for their reputation and you will find that in many cases they will redo work to keep you happy.

If this is not the case, you can always contact Fiverr support for a refund.

I am surprised no one has mentioned textbroker...

Once again, depending on your budget... Fiverr might be the only option.

Now if you want the best quality for the best price... Texbroker has a platform over 100,000 writers in several major countries.

They have an amazing support staff. If you are looking to put out great evergreen quality ( and in todays game this a standard ) then I would look here.

Textbroker is like an elance/odesk specifically catered to outsourced written content.

Fiverr might be ok for ordering research, or for having articles manually spun. Maybe. But realistically, if you're ordering articles, you're paying the writer less than a penny a word. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for. Writers who post a gig on Fiverr get $4.00 per "gig", so break that down by the number of words you're ordering, and there you go. Are you really going to get the best quality, or a native speaker, for those rates?

Fiverr is good for many things.

If you are looking for a good article writer, you may get lucky and find someone who has good language skills. Ideally, this would be a high school student from an English speaking country.

Unfortunately Fiverr is full of candidates who just put long strings of data through spinning software and pass off the result as their own original work.

Sometimes you do get a struggling writer who just happens to be very talented and takes pride in their original creations. If you find someone like this make sure you utilise them regularly because they won't be around for long on Fiverr.

Fiverr works, but eventually all of the good native English speakers get full and suspend their gigs.

Or they offer like 200 (I've seen 100) words for the gig, and if you need an article you wind up paying 10-15 dollars for it anyway, which is more normal.

There are native English writers, and then there are people who can speak English but it's abundantly clear to Americans or Brits or Canadians or AUS or NZ that they are not native.

I speak French, but I'm not a native Speaker. So I wouldn't sell it as that. The French would Know. I would never claim otherwise.

That initial 100 to 200 words should be enough for any buyer to test out the quality of the seller. And, the upsell or extra being offered will always be enough money for the seller to earn a decent amount for his or her time. That's just how Fiverr works, the lure of the low priced service up front and more expensive up sells.

Go with someone that has great reviews, is on the 'highly recommended' tab, and has 5 stars. The longer they've been on Fiverr and the more 5 star reviews they have, the better. Also make sure they are native-English speakers. It just ensures better quality of writing in most cases.

You can always ask for a writing sample as well. Not only do you get a sample of their writing quality, you can correspond with them and see how responsive they are.

And know that one bad seller or experience should not discount your entire Fiverr experience. There are total cons on that site, but a lot of great sellers too. You just have to sort through the crappy ones to get on the right track.

Fiverr can be really good AND really bad.

Make sure you pick someone that's had a ton of 5 star reviews, is at LEAST a Level 2 seller, and that has a long history of orders.

Make sure they are native English speakers.

Also ask for a writing sample. It will not only show you the quality of the writer's work, but it'll give you a chance to talk to the person and see if they are responsive or mean or nice or whatever.

And don't give up if you have one bad experience. There are good and bad sellers on there. Just keep looking, and once you find someone, keep sending them work.

I am an article writer on Elance, I tried selling my gig on Fiverr but $4 an article is not good enough. You get what you for. If you are willing to buy 2 gigs for an article of 500 words then you can get fair quality and no plagiarism.

There are some good fiverr gigs for articles. I would check the ratings before I purchase or maybe ask for a sample.

Obviously Fiverr is good to write article writing. But Upwork and Freelancer would be the best place for you.

I'm not sure it's that simple.

There are many good writers on Fiverr who use it to get the volume they need to create a comprehensive portfolio

According to me, it does not matter which site you are using, but it is too much important which freelancer you are using. I believe there are many expert Freelancer who use many site. so every site has expert freelancer. before hiring any freelancer, you should check their freelancer profile & Previous work history.

I've hired writers in the past. Here is what I learnt:

    * You have to go through a lot of bad writers to find the good ones.
    * Once you have good writers it pays to look after them well (which usually involves paying them more). You do not want a disgruntled writer working for you.
    * If you find a good writer and give them the same level of work/rate of pay for a period of time, eventually they will either want more money for the work offered or they will burn out.
    * That brings me onto burn out. Let's face it, writing quality content is both time-consuming and a bit of a drag when you do it over and over. For this reason, many article writers will 'burn out' so you have a churn rate to an extent even with the good ones.
    * They will often miss deadlines and come up with excuses like "The electrical storm knocked out my internet for 2 days" or "My relative was ill and I have not been able to get online for 2 days". I have heard every excuse under the sun.
    * You NEED to check your writers aren't using content from elsewhere. Run everything through Copyscape before you pay them.
    * Don't pay any writers upfront.

Writers in the Philippines can be pretty good!

A high profile marketer who used articles as his main source of traffic (thousands of articles) said he ended up with 2 writers out of trying out a LOT of different writers.

Depends on what kind of article you're looking for.

Professional, articulate and competent writers are usually more expensive and more often than not found on sites like Elance, Odesk, Upwork (I think it's called that).

Fiverr is a good place to find "filler" articles. I used to sell my services as a writer on Fiverr, and sure, I made around $2,000 within a reasonable time, but for $5-$10 I wrote mostly "filler" articles and perfectly happy with that.

If you however want high-quality, longer guides then I would suggest spending a little more money and waiting a little longer than 3-4 days which is the usual delivery time for the average writer on Fiverr.

All in all, if you choose to purchase an article on Fiverr, have a look at the seller's reviews, response time, price (remember, higher price is not bad) and make your own assessment.

    Good luck!

    Regards,

    Karl

  • You can find at any place good writers, but ALWAYS do a test. Because when you speak to them they are the best and bla bla bla

But only after doing a test you will see how good they are.
