    Convert your files into .zip format. This would reduce the size of your files.

    If you need to reduce the file size even more - GIVEN you have multiple files
    Convert your Large Sub-folder/files into .zip! Then convert the whole file into .zip
    i.e

    FOLDER (2GB) ---> SUB-FOLDER (1GB) + SUB-FOLDER (1GB)
    Convert Sub folders to .zip and then convert the FOLDER to .zip ! This would reduce your file size significantly!

    Plus you need to explain the uploading factor a bit more. There's alot to uploading

    FTP program? Will upload pretty much any size. FileZilla is a good one.

    You could use a service like dropbox (www.dropbox.com) or if you wanted to send the file to someone for them to download at a URL, you can use something like WeTransfer - www.wetransfer.com

    It's very difficult for any one to help you when your so vague.

    Why do you want to upload? Why do you need to upload it? For what purpose? Where do you need to upload it?

    Your just repeating you need to upload a file. Doesn't tell us anything. How can any one help you when you don't say anything?

    FTP (file transfer protocol). Super easy. I use Filezilla. How much space does your webhosting company give you for files? If it's not much, then simply switch to another hosting provider who offers unlimited file storage, and link to your 2GB products onto your new site.

    It depends on what you want to do with it...

    Will people download it? Will it be a product for sale? Is it for your use?

    Be specific in your goal with the file. "Upload" isn't really an answer.

    I use a remote desktop server for big uploads and downloads, big file transfers and so on, but getting large zip files like that up somewhere first from a poor connection or unreliable connection...if that is your problem...I'd use Dropbox. Then even if your connection drops or whatever, it won't matter. But you could use Filezilla also and just have "resume" chosen (not "overwrite") if your connection drops while uploading.

    So... What do you want to upload these files to?

    If to share, check out Google Drive.

    I would suggest splitting files of that size into smaller downloads. Much better for you and your customers.
