Subscriber to sale ratio???

Hi guys,

Just wanted to pick your brains on something. I have been building my list in weight loss niche and hit 1500 subs recently, which I am happy with. I am running a few campaigns to get the subscribers and am getting 38% of visitors opting in, which I am also happy with, however I am getting 1/30 subscribers purchasing the main product I am promoting. It is a $45 sale so it is ok, I am just wandering if this is a good % of buyers as I would like to get it higher obviously. If this seems low, how then can I rise the % of buyers any tips?

My offer is a free diet ebook. I have good open rates and good relationship with my subscribers. The product I am promoting is a weight loss supplement that complements the free diet.

Any help with monetizing my list further down the line will be appreciated also. (please don't mention solos as I am not renting out my list.)

Looking forward to your comments.

Thanks.

All depends on how good your sales page is, it has to sound enticing to customers. It could be the best product but no will will buy if they are not convinced to buy it.

On a good sales page what would you say is a good subscriber to buyer ratio?

      Thanks.

Well you have the subscribers so thats a start. I would really be guessing, but I would say around 5/ 30 subscribers. Of course you cant sell to all of them the same product. Do you offer any other products under the same area ( weightloss)

Ok so 1/6 roughly? I am looking into other products...It may be a good idea to add a few for diversity.

      Thanks for that

When do you try and sell them? Right away?

Personally I wouldn't use a free report anymore since people will download it and won't want to buy anything until they have consumed that content.

Try this instead. When someone opts in give them the free information on the very next page. Make it short, simple, and easily digestible. Then at the bottom have a big 'Click Here to Continue' link which takes them to your salespage.

This is very good advice. With enough split testing, you should see around 60% of people clicking through to your sales page. Then use a good VSL to sell your product. Then use your autoresponder to send your visitors to a text-based sales letter of the same product, not the VSL. Also make sure to do Adwords remarketing, plenty of AB testing and capture the email address of people before they check out, so you can email those who didn't follow through.

        Thanks guys,

I may try that. Definitely worth testing adding the information on the next page rather than an ebook then an oto.

        Thanks.

    Hi,

    Continuity is key here.

Make your landing page HIGHLY relevant and TARGETED to your PAID offer.

That way the prospect is already eager for what they have seen at the landing
    page.

When they see the PAID offer that is pretty much the same they are already
WARM due to your landing page warming them up.

Stay on that trend as you send them through your funnel for those who haven't
    bought your offer right away.

The best way to make money is to have your own product, and then, make it into a business.

Continuity produces the highest Lifetime Value per customer. But it's extremely challenging to keep them retained if you do not constantly produce outstanding value.

    1. Build a funnel. The funnel should aim at increasing the lifetime value of a customer.
    2. Add products/sequences into the funnel.
    3. Optimize every part of the funnel to keep LTV improved.

This way you can just focus on building up the lists while the funnel can take care of monetization for you.

Thanks again for the advice guys. This is an interesting point. I am actually developing my own product which is basically an extensive and detailed extension of my free offer. I also wanted to offer a service (high ticket) where i offer custom individual service (similar to mentoring for im). I would love advice on how to incorporate these 2 services with my 2 related affiliate offers into a follow up sales funnel. Can someone please give me some help on how to do this most effectively for a 60-90 day follow up series?

      Thanks.

60-90 days...If your list comes from buying your product, you can have a very long "validity" period of monetizing them.

But if your list comes from free baits, you want to squeeze all monetization in the first 30 days. You should aim to break-even on any lead cost within the first 30 days. The standard is to make 100% within the first 30 days.

And for those purchased, move them to another list where you can slowly build rapport, add more value and focus on building a strong business with them.

So you kinda have 2 major sequences, the former is like a "qualifier" or a "filter", the 2nd is your real deal, real business.

After that you will find out how to have multiple "qualifiers" squeezing into one "real" funnel, and then, multiple real funnels. It just grows.

if you break even, thats good. if you make profit thats better. if your slightly in the negative, tweek around to get your money back.

its all about how much you spend to gain a customer and how much money you make per customer. what other's conversion % dont matter

Well it seems you are on the right track to make good sales from your list

You have your squeeze page set up with a free offer that presells your main offer, so that's a better set up than most people have. Since you are making sales it works so i wouldn't change that too much.

Here's something you can do (and should do) to increase your sales:
Set up retargeting campaigns to promote your main offer. By simpply adding a tracking pixel on your thank you page, you can promote the main offer to your subscribers all around the web super cheap.

The truth is that many people won't buy immediately. They need to be reminded several times before pulling the trigger. And this is an easy way you can keep building a good relationship with your list without annoying them by sending them too much promotions.

That is pretty good in my view.

So if you are getting 1/30 and want to get 5-10 sales per day, so you would need 200-300-400 subscribers each day.
