How many words in email auto responders

Hi Guys, I'm going through and building an email autoresponder series, only 5 emails to start. My question how many works roughly should these emails be?

    Like a woman's skirt- long enough to cover the essentials, but short enough to keep their interest ;-)

    There's no magic number mate- it all depends on the niche, topic, etc. I think too long is more likely a problem than too short though- people are busy.

    Personally I believe that if you can add a personal touch, and get to the heart of the matter quickly, both you and your subscribers are better served for your efforts.

    I am not selling expensive products, so I generally keep my word count under 150. And that's the key... understand YOUR customers and what works well in your own business.

    I think WebPen gave the perfect answer.

    There is no set length. The email needs to be long enough to get your message across.

    But if you're going to have a lot of text, here are some tips:

    - Break it up into smaller paragraphs. No one likes seeing a big wall of text.
    - Use headings and subheadings to make your email scannable.
    - Keep it simple!

    Since you're doing a series, leave a bit of a "cliffhanger" at the end of each email, so the person will want to open up the next email in the series. Fiction authors do this all the time in chapters.

    There is no hard-fast length that an auto-responder email should be... Make sure to keep it conversational and friendly, as people buy people and they need to feel that you are talking directly to them if they are going to stay on your list and buy your products.

    In other words, make it short enough to get to the point but long enough to remain personal.

    On a side note, if you are including affiliate links, I always post them a few times down the page with some text in-between to make sure that they have easy accessibility to the link when they are reading the email. It also puts the message in the reader's brain to click the link!

    Hi,

    You can deliver useful information and add make offers all at the same time.

    I like to make my emails interesting enough so that they ENGAGE people and
    direct them towards my links.

    I wouldn't spend too much time thinking about this.

    Here's what you can do:

    1. Continue with your 5 day A.R. sequence.

    2. After that place those who have bought onto a BUYERS list and those
    who have gone through your A.R. series and haven't bought onto a separate
    broadcast list.

    3. Start sending out "BROADCAST" emails as often as you can.

    After you've sent out 30, 60 or 90 days worth of B.C. emails...

    ...PICK OUT THE BEST performing ones in terms of clicks, opens,
    sales etc.

    YOU now have some very useful info right in front of you.

    You'll learn far more by actually getting your own feet wet rather than listening
    to 1,000,000 different opinions and trying to get it PERFECT!

    PERFECTION = POVERTY in these kind of cases.

    You'll find what works for YOU that way.

    Shorter emails that still give a good amount of information are the best to do. These are the best to think about.

    Theres no set rule.

    Some people / audiences / niches react better to different sized emails.

    Test it out and see what works.

    Short, long, straight to the point, lots of detail, stories to get your audience knowing you more.

    I mix it up as I don't want to become too predictable.

    Some emails I share what's going on in my life. Other's I get straight to the point. Both can work in different situations.

    I say keep it short and to the point but valuable. This is a fast paced world we live in and people lose interest really fast. So be as short as possible but still adding tons of value.
