Facebook made my fan page that is going viral into a community page...

Is this good or bad? I just started a page and it's taking off. It's in the Wellness and Motivational niche you can say.

Anyways, just wondering what to make of this. I'm not selling anything right now but one day I might, to help out with what I'm doing. It is my page with my own content.

Does this mean I"m losing control of my page?

Anyways, if anyone has any feedback, let me know. Thanks.

If by you mean taking off you are getting a lot on friends then that is good. If thats what you mean??

You should look at adding some products to test the waters see if people are interested. If you have a website then direct them to that.

    I wouldn't stress too much.

Not to be crass, but you didn't answer the question.

He already knows how to monetize it. He wants to know whether or not it's okay that his fan page was converted into a community page.

I was going to answer you, but THIS does a better job...

Thanks for all the replies, great stuff.

Hpgoodboy, I tried switching it but it's not letting me and I have a feeling that it won't let me any time soon. It's just what Facebook wants and guess it'll stay that way.

It is kinda scary if you will put in so much time, money and effort only to be considered a "Community" page. I read the link that was given above and it turns out that if the page becomes popular - it can just be yanked right from under you, and anyone can post and you don't have any control to delete or moderate your page.

    We'll see what happens.
