How can i use Squidoo to generate traffic

I have known squidoo for the past 5months never knew how to use it.

Most of the lenses i created never receive any visitor.

The most confusing thing about squidoo is that their are some many places to post article.

Which one of those places do i use to write an article. Must i fill all the places listed.

Besides your intro, try to have 3 text modules for your lens.

You can customize which modules you want in you lens. You don't have to use the ones that you start with.

A good way to get some visibility if to join other Squidoo Groups in your area/niche.

Look into the SquidUtils website which has some excellent tools to help you with your lens.

It´s also important to update your lens frequently (once per week) with more fresh content.You should also join groups and make comments on other peoples lenses.Squidoo lenses get quickly indexed in the search engines so this can become a good traffic stream over time.For more Squidoo traffic tips, check out SquidU

Just delete those modules that you are not going to post content in. When you are in "Edit Mode", just hit the "X" in the right corner on the module that you want deleted.

You will put your article in the text module. See if you can break up your article so that each section of your article will have its own text module. Keep in mind that you must have content for the Intoduction module which is the first module.

So if you're article has 3 main points, then devote a text module for each point.

If you cannot, then maybe put one article in one text module and then put two related articles in two other modules.

and hey.. after you've done your squidoo page, don't forget to build links to it like bookmarking it. this should make your lens indexed faster and rank for the keywords you want ( assuming that you've done your keyword research).

A well built squidoo lens can draw huge amounts of traffic! But there are wyas to build them and ways not to build them. The better you build the lens, then the more visitors it can find for you.

The key is to promote your lens. You need to social bookmark your lens, and use the RSS feed. You need to ping your lens feed like you do a blog. I use a number of tools. The easiest one I think is called RSS Submit.

Get OnlyWire and start bookmarking en masse.

You should do some market research and target a niche before starting a lens. The keyword phrase you choose should be less than 5000 in the optimized google search result.

You should write a few paragraph in the intro module, follow by the main content in a text module. Then add a table of content module, a amazon module, a feedback module, a rss module.

With all these 5 modules in place, once you published the squidoo lens, you will be featured immediately identified by a "green checkmark" under the "my lenses" tab.
