I am having trouble transferring files through FTP onto my site's backend. Anyone willing to Skype with me for 10 min or so to get it figured out. I do have an FTP client downloaded but get stuck on trying to connect.
(I'm Canadian so favour is spelled that way)

I have tried searching for the answer and watching videos, to no avail.

Have you tried directly uploading the files to your c-panel without using FTP?

fill out a ticket at your hosting company. You need the host address to type in to the FTP Client, for example if your hosting company is Host gator it the address would be for example gator3000.hostgator.com
    Hope this helps.

I've had some problems with this recently too.

I was using FireFTP, and I could connect to the site okay but it didn't look like any files could be transferred. I went in through cPanel, as suggested by Katie, and the files where there but they were empty.

I switched to FileZilla and everything works okay now. Also, using File Manager in cPanel works too.

You didn't say which FTP client you were using but trying some different things worked for me.
