Building Video Courses: Keep Getting In The "Perfect" Trap

So, I've been taking a lot of action in the last few months in my free time. I mean, I enjoy this stuff... I make these video courses but I'm afraid I keep getting into the trap of wanting them to look and be perfect and it just keeps me from pushing them out or selling them.

I know I see a lot of video courses on here, I've purchased a few, that are about 10-15 videos and text etc. Something in me keeps saying "make the most high quality you can" and this really keeps me from getting through the courses because, okay, I'll give an example: I have one course I'm working on that's 54 short lessons and includes videos and case studies but the thing is... I'm nervous it won't be "good enough." I suppose this is my own insecurity of creating my own products. Same with my Kindle writing course... I have that done and I haven't released a WSO...

Does this sound logical? Lol. I took action to get this whole thing going and taught myself and did the process... but I keep getting into this trap of worrying it won't be up to standards... even though I logically know the content is great and really cuts through the bs.

Thanks for your opinions

You didn't fall into the 'getting it perfect' trap. In fact, what you're experiencing right now is fear of rejection and criticism.

You just have to remember that you can't please everyone. There would be dissatisfied customers and there would be refunds. And there would be a lot of it especially if you sold a lot. lol!

That's why they always advise you to just get your product out even if it is not perfect. The soon you get it out there, the sooner you'll cure that fear.

Just so you know... people buy courses for the quality of the information - NOT for the quality of the videos. As long as it's good enough, it's good enough.

Thanks so much for your responses! I really appreciate it! I've learned so so much throughout this whole product development journey and I'm still learning.

I think all of this is about taking action and I can see at each level of the process where people would possibly give up because of this type of stuff.

      Thanks for the reinforcement!
