Need Help Succeeding With Internet Marketing

So I've been working really hard at internet marketing, but I seem to have hit a wall. I really need this to succeed, since it's about the only method I have available to support myself. And before I get all the comments about getting a real job, I'm on disability, but that is no way to support a family.

So now for the details - I ran five websites, but only two were making any money so I cut it down to two websites. Before I started working really hard at this, I was making 10 dollars a day through affiliates and Adsense. And after working hard daily, promoting, and getting followers, I now sit at 9 dollars a day. Not exactly a success story.

So I have the following questions:

1. What is the best type of website to make money with?

Up until now, I've focused on authority sites, but they seem like a lot of work and don't monetize all that well. Would I be better going with pure affiliate websites, or just promoting one product?

2. How do you monetize an e-mailing list?

I have a lot of e-mail subscribers, but I get extremely low click through for promotions on my e-mails. I have a huge success rate when I send out new post announcements, but when I add sales at affiliates or offers in the e-mail, I get no click throughs. Should these be sent out alone, or is there a way to format them to induce sales?

3. What is the best way to make money.

Right now I use Adsense which isn't great, and Amazon which is quite good. Does anyone have any other ideas? I've been looking into Clickbank, but a lot of the stuff in my field looks a bit sketchy. It doesn't look like it has good value for the money at all.

4. For those of you that have succeeded, has it come from large websites, many small websites, creating businesses, or creating products?

I have nothing but time during the day, so I can spread my efforts out to multiple websites or by trying to create a monster website. It seems like the large websites rely heavily on things like Adsense, but with all the adblocking apps that are out now, it could be a business model that will fail in the near future.

I know this is a lot to read and answer, but I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone can offer.

Thanks

Use the money if you can to hire a coach, that will be money well spent, and investment in yourself, authority websites hit a wall due to seo algorithms changes with google, much harder these days to make money with what you are doing, still possible but not as easy anymore

This might be a stupid question, but where do people find qualified coaches? I talked to a few when I first started, but some of them knew less than I did after some basic research I did before starting.

If you already have an email list, i would sugget you look into learning how to do email marketing. from what you have written above, you probably want to combine and announce with an offer, and write the email in such a way that entices people to check out what you have going on and if your message resonates with them you should make some sales.

    Hope that helps

I think the best way now is to expand on what you already have.
Right now, you are making $9 per day.
I'd say go ahead and try out different things.
Test out different things to see what works.

For example, if you have a dog training site,
you could expand it a bit and start to talk about dog collars as well.
Maybe even try and sell dog treats and dog snacks.
I am sure people who come to the site for dog training will be interested in those.

The dog training was just an example.
Maybe you could do similar things with your niche too.

There are 2 things you need to take care of
    in making money online.
    1.Traffic
    2.Conversions
After reading your post, It seems that your problem is conversions.

Maybe learn some copywriting and preselling
so you could write better articles
and send out better offers to your mailing list.

Testing and tracking is your best friend now.
Keep doing this and your income will steadily improve.

    my 2 cents,
    Faraz
