How much do bodyguard companies make a year?

I am interested in the executive protection business. How much does a small bodyguard company, say 10 bodyguards, make in profit every year. How much does a larger bodyguard company, say 30 bodyguards, make every year?

Why would you expect an answer to that in here? You need to research sites related to that niche.

Try Googling "Handgun Forum" or something of that nature and you'll find lots of people on the resulting forums with opinions.

I'm sure, like in real estate, location makes a big difference. The price, and profit, will be much different in NYC or LA than in Fargo ND.

Yeah, your going to have to do some market research outside of warrior. It shouldn't be too hard to find.

    Good luck

It depends on who they are protecting

In other words, impossible to put an average on that number...

What a strange question to ask on the WF. You're better off speaking to people in the industry. Look at similiar businesses in your area and look to see what they're charging. Try and find out how busy they are in terms of bookings and so on and you can soon gather a rough idea of what 1 body guard would make and build it up from there.

We aren't the industry. Research and consult people of the field.

We can't really provide you with a proper answer as some bodyguard companies may make more than others, so I recommend just doing a bit of research.

What do you guys think as a wild guess? I don't want to look like a complete idiot when I ask a local bodyguard company.
Sorry, but I think that ship has sailed. Quoting a number from an IM forum is probably not going to impress....

If it were me I'd call one firm and ask the cost of one body guard...then I'd take that times ten and go to another firm to bargain.

THINK of Kevin Costner in the movie BODYGUARD. WHO are you protecting and are these people targets on a daily bases. IF you need and can afford a BG, you can bet it is $100K/yearly...WHAT is the point of a $40K BG I don't care where you live. THINK Warren Buffet is less in need in Nebraska than in NYC?

      Literally, impossible to say.

Where is the business located? Who or what does it protect? Armed security? Short term or long term protection? How much experience does the owner have? How much experience do the employees have? What kind of contracts are you looking for? Do you transport people/goods? How will you market your business? Is there a need for your business where you're located? There will be hundreds of factors from location to your service and everything in between.

My guess is a security company won't be the easiest business to start unless you have a lot of experience and history. But that depends on what you're planning on protecting.

I would think that reputation, experience and connections with both law enforcement and possible clients would be very important in that kind of business. If you don't have the above, you would need a manager that does and plenty of money for the start up period. Like everyone else said, you need to talk to people who are already in the business.
