Default Does anyone read Warrior Forum Blogs?

Hey all,

I've just been writing a couple of posts for my Warrior Forum blog - I've got 15 years experience in Publishing & Journalism and my husband has 23 years experience in Sales (he actually now conducts sales training courses which cost $20,000 a day) so in my blog I'm writing about product creation, writing and selling.

So I was just wondering, do many people read the blogs here, or do you spend most of your time on the forum and not really worry about blogs?

Cheers Suzy

I have to admit I have never really paid attention to the blogs. I would put it in my sig with a great call to action.

I never read the blogs...but i have to start, i've found great information on them, the threads seem to adress more specific questions as opposed to the blogs that seem to be more of essays or editorials.

I will read a blog if I think the person sounds interesting.

You can go to a blog... pick one where there are a lot of blog posts showing under the person's name, and see how many views his/her posts get. That will give you an idea of how many people are reading that particular blog.

Hey guys, thanks for your replies, its good to guage what sort of interest they get.

Peggy, I guess that's what my concern was - I noticed that alot of the newer blogs weren't really getting all that many views (although, I've also noticed that there are alot that I wouldn't read since they just seem like sales spin) And under the 'best blogs' categories, are blogs which haven't been updated in months...

I miss having the bar at the top. It displayed the latest blog posts, and I used to read any posts that happen to catch my interest.

Now that it's gone, I can't say I read anyone's WF blog.

Perhaps it would be helpful if an icon to the WF user's blog is placed somewhere under avatar/photo... Just an idea.

There is a link there: It's usually the 4th line under your avatar, unless you haven't entered a geographical location in your profile, in which case it's the 3rd line.

I've read a couple of blogs since I've been a member, but I mainly stick to the forum posts.

They're not read mostly because members here treat it as a "mass-marketing" and broadcasting tool. They never relate to others here as people. A blog, micro-blog, or any scial network is not a broadcasting tool. It's a relational tool...

"One-on-one" is the key.

Do it one-to-many and the members will see through you >:-(

Thats a real shame, although the majority of them do seem to be used as crappy mass marketing tools. I was using mine to give helpful advice to people and thought that maybe they would enjoy the read.

Perhaps I'd be better just using my blog posts in the forum as individual posts?

I've only put four posts on my WF blog but they've been read over 1,000 times in the aggregate.

But they are worth reading, if I don't say so myself.

Too bad Allen changed the rules and I can't post anymore of that genre because they sure were well received.
