Question for EXPERIENCED Product Creators & Affiliates
I'm putting together a product, for which I will have only one real competitor, who has been at it for 2-3 years. I have 20 years experience in the niche, and am a genuine expert. The current product out there is $57, paying around 60% to affiliates.
My product will be at least as good, with the objective of being better, of course. The current one out there is an ebook (a biggun' - mine will be 100,000 words+) with the usually 3-4 'But wait, order now and I'll throw in my [complimentary to the main book] ebook/report, a $29.95 value, for free. Basically a 5-7 product download.
The question I have, for those experienced, is that if you assume my product to be at least as good, how should I price it to get my foot in the door with affiliates selling my competitor's product?
Same price/higher commission %, higher price/same commission %, etc.?
I guess a general question to experienced product creators is how they would approach it, as well as how an experienced affiliate would want to be approached.
