Hi

I am promoting a herbal product through display advertising. Currently, here are the numbers i am getting.
CTR for ads - 0.150
Landing page CTR - 35%
Conversion Rate - 5%
Offer Payout - $5
Bid - $0.35

With the above settings, i am always under $20 loss. No matter i rotate the banners, landing page, offer, the results are same.

Any suggestions on whats going wrong?

Probably you would need to revise your targeting. Maybe by refining and tightening your targeting of your desired audience for this offer, you would get better CTR and better conversions.

    Hope this helps a bit!

Are you doing any split testing between ads and even your targetted audiences?

Split testing may help a bit.

Why not back end it with another product? Now that you have a buyer you could offer them something with a higher payout.

I agree with Cynthia...take a look at the product. What are the conversions for other affiliates? If the average is higher than yours, look at your targeting. Otherwise, it may be time to look for another offer to promote.

If i were you i would build a custom audience and set up some retargeting campaigns, that will definately increase your conversion rates.

Targeting could be the problem, as most have stated, but it may not be your biggest or most critical problem.

I would ask: "How compelling is your offer?"

By nature, many of us "train" our minds to turn a blind eye to advertising.

Are your prospects stopped in their tracks by your marketing?

Are they engaged and held captive by your sales message?

Are they giving themselves a wedgie when they rip their wallet out of their pants to grab a credit card at your call to action?

      I hope you get what I'm trying to say . . .
