Being Creative and Make More Money Offline

I was talking to a person here in Thailand, and he has been working with the offline niche for the past 5 years.

He has 3 sites relating to this, and one thing that surprised us was the price he charges for advertising. It is about $60 per month, per advert. He could have gone and charged huge amounts, and I know some of you will say he is losing tons of money.

But, here is the point he has done something different to market to the offline niche, and now has a passive monthly income of around $200,000.

Lots of $60 and because it is a small payment people are paying they are more than happy to do that and remain paying it.

Sometimes it works to keep the payments you charge smaller and keep the residual income coming in.

Absolutely, in my case we have always tried to keep our software affordable to people throughout the world. $100 may not be a lot for some people in richer countries, but it can easily be a week's salary for others. Keeping prices reasonable can allow for more customers, though each model is going to be different.

It is okay to contact me! I have been developing software since 1999, creating many popular products like phpLD.

Bev, I think thats an awesome monthly income, obviously. ...$200,000 a month is killer!

However, assuming one ad per client thats over 3,300 clients. How did he acquire such a huge number of clients? ...How does he manage that many?

Seems like it must be a pretty sizable operation.

Bruce your maths are spot on. He has just over 1,000 clients per site. He has 3 sites where he sells advertising.

Without giving away his model, he spent about 6 months building one site. He has a number of people working for him, as he is adding in new sites at the moment.

It is totally passive in that everything is automated. Most people don't remove their ad, because they know the benefits of it. Imagine you have been advertising there for 2 years and it is profitable would you kill your ad?

The work is in creating the site, which he now has people doing it. The rest runs automatically. If he loses a client, then it is about 10 mins work to put a new client in their place.

Very interesting, Bev. And anyone could do this in their own hometown.

I am going to be putting the same principal into action later this year. I am almost finished with my first hand-written ebook on a topic on which I am an authority. I am going to be sure that I choose a price that is not too high, expecting to reach my financial goals with high volume.

      Yes that's one strategy.

Keep in mind that the biggest effort is in getting a client of any kind to begin with and that means getting a prospect to the point where he'll pay you.

For most business owners once they trust you there's not a whole lot of difference in paying $100 or $1,000 but you MAY have an easier time getting them to pay a small monthly fee.

The lead generation system...getting new clients...is what's going to take the effort though.

To be even smarter you'd look at the nature of those low paying clients and after you have them as a regular small paying client you can offer higher priced back end services to them.

      Kindest regards,

Andrew, I hear what you're saying, but this guy business model is that most people over 95% of the people he contacts never say no.

He isn't interested in a backend sale, he is reproducing what he does.

He isn't an IMer as such, and sticks to what he knows is working.

Is he leaving money on the table? Yes.

Does he care? No, because he is more than happy with what he does.

Why change what is working especially when that is giving a passive income of $200,000 US a month, for very little work.

Developing the sites is time consuming, but maintenance is hardly anything.
